The three grounds. Four in terms of location. Two in terms of conduct. The third is: to reproach the qualities of desire by viewing them as faults. The fourth is: to accord with the minds of those to be tamed and to incline towards nirvana. The fifth is: to abandon all internal and external possessions. The sixth is: not to be discouraged in performing virtuous deeds and to have no view of things as real. Alternatively, the first three are for training the mind's discipline, the middle five are for training moral discipline, and the last two are for training wisdom. Combine them. The second is: combine the two words "these" with everything below. The complete training of the fifth ground is said to be "attained." From where is it the fifth? How is it truly, that is, completely? When are these ten things to be abandoned completely abandoned? These ten can be summarized into four: impure thought and action, impure place, improper conduct, and root afflictions. The first is: for the sake of gain and honor, to associate with monastics, householders, etc., and not to show the homes of faithful people to others, and then to be attached to the gains obtained from there, that is, to be stingy. The second is: the village of many people as a place of samsaric bustle, and the mental activity of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers as a place of bustle for one's own benefit. The third is: for the sake of gain, etc., to praise oneself by speaking of one's own qualities, and to denigrate others by speaking of their faults out of jealousy, and the ten paths of non-virtuous actions such as killing, that is, the collection of common foundations. The fourth is: to be arrogant by boasting of being learned through hearing, etc., and of being virtuous through moral discipline, and to cling to what should be adopted and abandoned in a perverse way, and bad intelligence is briefly explained as indecision. The teacher explains it as wrong view. To tolerate and desire the three poisons of affliction. The complete training of the sixth ground is said to be "attained." Where is the ground the sixth ground? How is it truly, that is, completely? By what means are the six antidotes complete, and by what cause are the six things to be abandoned abandoned? The first is: generosity, moral discipline, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom, that is, the six perfections are completely perfected. The second has: obstacles to enlightenment, obstacles to following conduct. The first is: disciple Hearer

The first is to abandon the mind that delights in one's own country. The second aspect is divided into the obstacles to initially entering, the obstacles to practicing in the middle, and the obstacles to ultimately completing. The first is to abandon the fear of emptiness, and not to shrink back even when raising one's head, etc. The second is not to feel displeasure even when abandoning all internal and external possessions. The third is not to let beggars go away empty-handed even when one is poor oneself, and this is through six ways. The son combines the abandonment and the antidote separately, with the discipline of abandoning the attachment to self-interest, and the meditation of single-mindedly thinking of the benefit of others, these are the first two abandonments that are perfected. With the perfection of the patience paramita towards the profound Dharma, is the third abandonment. With the perfection of the giving paramita, is the fourth. With the perfection of the joyful diligence in giving, is the fifth. With the perfection of the mother of skillful means, is the sixth abandonment, so it is said. In the commentary, it is said that the meaning is to abandon the six things to be abandoned with the perfection of the six paramitas, therefore combining them separately is not the intention. In the seventh, the complete purification, there are two: abandoning what should be abandoned and the antidote. The first is said to be obtained. From where is it obtained? It is obtained from the seventh. With what is it obtained? With clinging, which is combined with the first fourteen and the last two. Because it is the basis for generating pride, it is self; because it is the nature of dejection or fear, it is sentient being; because it exists between those who fully possess the same fortune and are of the same kind, it is life; because it is relied upon again and again in samsara, it is person; because it is the annihilation of what existed before and does not exist now; because existence does not change into non-existence, it is permanence; the acceptance and rejection of samsara and nirvana, or the characteristics of form, etc.; and the cause of different kinds; and the aggregates of name and form, etc.; and clinging to enjoyment, therefore the elements are simultaneously different; and opening the gate of birth, or the twelve internal and external sources are different; and clinging to the truth and abiding by discriminating the three realms; and clinging to it with acceptance and rejection and attachment; and thinking that one cannot attain omniscience and the mind is always dejected; and for the form body, among the three jewels, thinking that it is the Buddha; and for the twelve divisions of scripture, thinking that it is the Dharma; and for the four pairs and eight individuals, thinking that it is the Sangha; and for the antidote to immoral conduct, thinking that it is continuous virtue, and clinging to it; and doubting whether all dharmas are emptiness.
