Because diligence does not diminish, therefore diligence. Because one does not crave flavors, therefore meditation. In order to not cling to wisdom and wrong wisdom, one should practice the Mother, and so on. And one should perfect the four mindfulnesses, and so on. Bodhisattvas who wish to cross over by looking with knowledge and vision at the all-knowing, should meditate on the Mother, and so on. Treasures and others extensively explain benefiting others, in order to show how to study the Prajnaparamita in terms of benefiting others through many examples. The Sutras, in sequence, are that bodhisattvas who wish to place miserly beings in generosity, and who wish to overwhelm the generosity of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas with a single bodhicitta, should study the Mother, and so on. As well as those with broken precepts, and so on, and those with harmful minds, and so on, and those who are lazy, and so on, and those with scattered minds, and so on, and those with wrong wisdom, and so on, and those who wish to make even a single root of virtue, bodhicitta, inexhaustible by dedicating it to omniscience through skillful means, and so on, and those who wish to accomplish the Buddha's body, and so on, and those who wish to fulfill the thoughts in the minds of beings with resources, and so on, and those who say that by giving alms in this way, one can attain perfect and complete enlightenment, and so on, and those who wish to directly realize uncontaminated superknowledge but do not wish to directly realize true reality, and so on, and those who wish to accomplish all the abodes of the Tathagata Bhagavan together with the Sangha of Hearers and Bodhisattvas with a single merit, and so on, and those who wish to attain the qualities of all Buddhas of the past, future, and present, and so on, and the teachings and explanations and future explanations of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas and the Tathagata Bhagavan, such as the Sutras, and those who wish to take up what the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas have not heard, and so on, and those who wish to truly proclaim the sound of the Buddha, the sound of the Dharma, and the sound of the Sangha to all those beings who are born in various Buddhafields, and those who wish to establish those beings in right view.

Wanting to apply and so on, and those sentient beings who have become dull due to the power of darkness, wanting to make them see objects with their eyes and so on. Shariputra, furthermore, the great Bodhisattva wants to show the conduct of the Tathagata and so on, from wanting to view with the perspective of an elephant, therefore one should learn from the Mother. The third is bodhicitta, which is also the basis of classification. If classified, there are twenty-two types. How are they classified? They are classified by the meaning expressed by the twenty-two similes. What are they? Like the earth, which is the basis for the growth of plants and so on, possessing aspiration; like gold that does not change because it has not been smelted, possessing thought; like the waxing moon, which grows more and more full, possessing higher intention. These two similes seem to indicate that one will not regress from the higher paths of accumulation to the lower paths, and should be studied. Like the fire that burns firewood, possessing application; or, it can also be understood as the fire increasing as the firewood increases. Like a treasure that does not know the exhaustion of wealth, possessing generosity; like the source of jewels, possessing discipline; like the ocean that does not move in water less than a fathom deep, possessing patience; like a diamond that cannot be destroyed by ordinary substances, possessing diligence; like Mount Meru, which is not shaken by small or medium causes, possessing meditation; like medicine that can pacify disease, possessing prajna; like a spiritual friend who is not abandoned in all times of happiness and suffering, possessing skillful means or the four immeasurables; like a wish-fulfilling jewel that fulfills all desires, possessing aspiration or the five superknowledges; like the sun that ripens crops, possessing power or the four ways of gathering disciples; like a song that causes listeners to have three aspirations to listen, possessing wisdom or the four analytical knowledges; like a king who does not waste what has been done and can bring benefit, possessing the four reliances or the five superknowledges; like a treasury of many riches, possessing the two accumulations; like a great road that all four castes can travel, possessing the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment; like a vehicle that reaches the destination.
