That also refers to the expression of language. Good and non-good can be determined, and can arise as desired. Since it is not an accumulation of particles, it arises from the same kind of cause other than the first uncontaminated cause that is not a result of maturation or proliferation. Because it is related to the continuum, it is shown as a sentient being. The expression of the body is included because it engages in being non-different from the elements of the body. The fourth is that the elements that are not the expression of desire are dependent on the mind of motivation, so they are not produced from the first three causes of maturation and proliferation, and they are not equally placed, so they are produced from the same kind of cause because they are not produced by the proliferation of samadhi. Because it exists in the collection of sense faculties, it is born from the elements that are included. The seven abandonments of individual liberation are each born from different sets of four elements. Because of the arising of samadhi, the causal elements that are not the expression of contemplation and uncontaminated are not included because they follow the mind, and they arise from the proliferation of samadhi. All seven abandonments, just as the mind that produces them is non-different, the five elements are also not different, but arise from one instance, because there is only one cause. If it arises from conditions, then the cause is not the mind, but the basic element. The commentary says: By means of entering, therefore it arises from non-difference. The third part has two aspects: the actual and the incidental. The first part has the distinction of the three, such as good, and the distinction of the three realms. The first is that non-manifestation is because it is motivated by the power of the mind, so there is no prophecy of good, non-good, or neither. Other than that, manifestation and mental action are equally endowed with motivation by the three minds, so they can be of three kinds: good, non-good. The second is that non-virtuous actions exist only in the desire realm, because they are abandoned by other realms. In the form realm, there is the non-manifestation of the vows of contemplation, but the words also show that non-virtue has already been established in the desire realm, so virtue exists. In the formless realm, there are no elements and no body and speech, so there are no vows there either. If, like the uncontaminated, the basis of the lower realm arises from its elements, then it is not so, because the bonds of craving are severed by different means. Manifestation is spoken in words after examination and analysis. It is said that it abandons what has examination.

It exists in the first dhyana of the form realm, but not beyond the second dhyana, because there is no intention. Moreover, there is no obscured expression in the desire realm either. What is the reason? Because the obscured afflictions that are practiced in the desire realm, and the two with limits, are those that are viewed as being abandoned by the path of seeing. Their body and speech do not arise, so there is no intention. Therefore, the obscured expression is only the body and speech that are shaken and completely aroused by the Great Brahma. Secondly, there are three incidental points: the distinction between the three, such as virtue, the establishment of the two intentions, and the distinction of having no expression. Among the first three, the first is the distinction of virtue: Is it only from intention that it becomes virtuous or non-virtuous? There are four possibilities: First of all, among the four virtues, liberation is virtuous in the ultimate sense because it is the most blissful due to the pacification of suffering (duhkha,दुःख,duḥkha,痛苦), just like being without illness. The three roots of virtue, shame, and embarrassment are virtuous by their very nature or essence, because becoming virtuous does not depend on anything else, and it is certain to be virtuous from birth, like beneficial medicine. All eleven virtues are like that, but only five are mentioned in order to establish the elimination of non-virtue. What is in accordance with these eleven virtues is not virtuous in nature, but like a drink mixed with medicine, it is the virtue of a corresponding companion. The activities of body and speech that are aroused by these, namely karma, and the arising of virtue, etc., as well as attainment and the two samadhis, are virtuous by the power of intention, just as milk produced from a drink mixed with medicine can cure diseases. If virtue is interrupted by doubt, and the attainment of virtue at the time of birth, etc., cannot be virtuous, because it is aroused by afflictions? Afflictions eliminate the obstacles to attainment, but that is aroused after attainment, so it is virtuous, as stated in the commentary. The second is: What is the opposite of virtue is non-virtue, and samsara is ultimately non-virtuous, because it is the nature of suffering (duhkha,दुःख,duḥkha,痛苦) and is most unpleasant, like a disease. The three poisons, shamelessness, and lack of embarrassment are non-virtuous in nature, because they produce unpleasant results without relying on anything else, like poison. What is in accordance with these is in accordance, like a drink mixed with poison.
