Repeatedly ascertain the distinctions such as whether this Dharma has been taught or not; Abhibhuta (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), meaning to overwhelm the opponent's arguments with refutations and answers based on teachings that are like an ocean of knowledge; Abhisamaya (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), meaning to realize direct perception by understanding the characteristics of Dharma or the meaning of the Sutras. As stated in the Ornament for Clear Realization: "For the sake of direct perception and repeatedly, to subdue and understand, hence the Dharma of direct perception." The commentary on this explains the two previous and subsequent cases. The first definition explains that wisdom in the three realms that has not entered the path of liberation is not considered direct perception. Secondly, how is this treatise a treasury of Abhidharma? Answer: In this text, the essential meanings of the seven Abhidharma treatises are completely contained in the content being expressed, therefore it is like a treasury of Abhidharma. For example, a place where precious treasures are stored is called a treasury, or like a scabbard for a sword. Alternatively, the place or source of this treatise is Abhidharma, therefore it is its treasury. Therefore, what comes from the treasury is also called Abhidharma, just as where a sword is drawn from is its scabbard. Among these, the former is the essence, and the latter is a metaphor. It is also explained that this shows that the content and source being expressed are good. The former shows that it is contained here, and the latter dispels doubts about whether this treatise is heretical. The fourth part has two points: the necessity of connection and the actual content. First, who taught it? The first point is: Why was Abhidharma taught? Who taught this initially? How does one respect the teacher who expounds the Treasury of Abhidharma? The answer to this is divided into two parts. First, the necessity: Without the wisdom to thoroughly distinguish the Dharmas, there is no way to pacify the afflictions. Because the root of afflictions is ignorance. If afflictions are not pacified, what are the faults? Answer: Afflictions create karma, causing sentient beings to wander involuntarily in the ocean of samsara, experiencing various sufferings. Therefore, in order to pacify afflictions, the teaching of thoroughly distinguishing the Dharmas was taught, and for that reason, Abhidharma was taught. This samsara is similar to the ocean in four ways: initially
