It is not, because it is empty by the action of darkness in sequence, and because it does not possess characteristics because it is its antidote, and because darkness has already been spoken of previously. Therefore, it is established in wholesome contaminated and unobscured and unindicated. Moreover, since the Buddha also has individual liberation vows and eyes, etc., its distinction is like the four causes of not knowing that appear below. Then, have the darknesses of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers not been eliminated, or have they been eliminated? If it is like the first case, then those two will not be the enders of suffering, because it is said in the sutra: If one dharma is not known and not abandoned, I do not say that it can make an end to suffering. If it is like the second case, then what the Buddha has abandoned will not be established as uncommon. If it is like the second case, one will be freed from the first fault, and there will be no second fault, because those two have not completely eliminated it. Because those two have not abandoned the imprints of the first darkness, the Buddha has abandoned it, and the second darkness will manifest. For example, the son of Maudgalyayana did not know that his mother was in the light, because the region had passed through a kalpa; Shariputra did not know that the householder Auspicious had produced the part of liberation by going forth, because a long time had passed through a kalpa, but the Teacher could see it; the Teacher asked Shariputra: Do you know the aggregate of morality of the Tathagata? He replied: I do not know. This is not knowing the Dharma of the Buddha. And by the ripening fruit, beings and realms and birthplaces, etc., in this causal realm, in this life, this person has made such thoughts, etc., unable to distinguish the meaning well, but the Teacher knows it, as it is said in the praise by Rahula. In the Ṭīkā it is said that some of those are between one and four, if applied to a person, it will become an obscuration of knowledge of greater or lesser degree, so apply it to the Dharma, like this, the mother of light not knowing the regional kalpa is only one, to the many Dharmas of the Buddha of that land being one, this is how it is explained, even if applied to a person there is no fault. It is also not contradictory to the sutra "If one dharma is not abandoned", because the first darkness is abandoned from the aspect of the cessation of obtaining its own nature, so the second darkness is also abandoned from the aspect of being free from desire for longing. It is said in the sutra: Bhikshus, abandon the desire for longing for the eye, and if you abandon it, then the eye is abandoned.

Therefore, there is no difference from merely abandoning them, along with the imprints, and the cessation of obtaining the entity, there is a difference between the two, the first is merely abandoning without difference, and the second is abandoning with difference. Thus, after showing abandonment, realization is, expressed by the word "field" or understood by meaning, it is easier to obtain wisdom than abandonment, or the abandoner is, the antidote is wisdom. According to the Extensive Commentary, the word "all" indicates abandonment, and the word "forever" indicates realization, which is considered very good. If a certain word is a general term, but there are three reasons for it to apply to a specific situation, one of which is that it applies to a specific situation according to the situation, for example, saying "Sendhava come here", when guiding the teaching, it refers to the Sangha of the Hearers; when hunting, it refers to the horse; when eating, it refers to salt; when bathing, it refers to water; when fighting, it refers to the sword. Applying by implication, for example, saying "Some people will come here", refers to Devadatta and others with the action of coming and going. Applying by specific words, for example, saying among the Brahmins, "Bring that person wearing white clothes", refers to the Brahmin Devaskya alone, because these two qualities are not possessed by others. Like this, from the three situations, here it is through specific words, even if a certain word is a general term, but because the three perfections such as destroying all darkness are not possessed by others. In terms of benefiting others, these three realms themselves are Samsara, they are driven by views and doubts, therefore they are of a wavering nature, and they are connected with the moisture of desire, therefore they are places of complete attachment, difficult to overcome, and even if one wants liberation, one must rely on the Dharma taught by the Buddha who dwells in the dry land (Nirvana) to overcome, these four situations are like a mud. Therefore, beings are guided by teaching the Dharma as it is. Second, because the word is "after", meaning eating after bathing, indicating the order, if relying on this, what should be done now? The treatise should be explained in detail. Which treatise? It is the Abhidharma Kosha. Why is it called a treatise? Because it can be liberated from afflictions as the cause, and it can be saved from evil destinies and existence as the result, therefore it is called a treatise. As it is said in the Commentary on Reasoning: It can cut off all the enemies of afflictions, etc.
