Attachment to caste and so on precedes, taking it as supreme and sacred, without shame or embarrassment in the mind, fully approaching and ceasing. Fourth, the unity that appears different is: mind, intellect, and consciousness appear to be different, but their meaning is the same, just different names for knowing meaning. Dividing into three is different in definition, that is, distinguishing between virtue and non-virtue, and consciousness and object, or the two, Sutra-mind and Consciousness-only mind, are accumulating the imprints of virtue and non-virtue, and becoming the basis and the dependent, or depending on time, that is, the future and the past, and the present arising, or in order to make sentient beings abandon weariness, it is shown as three in order to show the realms, sources, and aggregates. In the explanation of the Mind-Only school, the Alaya consciousness, afflicted mind, and consciousness are explained as different. Also, mind and mental factors depend on the senses, so they have a basis, hold one object, so they have an object, and the mind holds the meaning of the object, and the mental factors hold the difference, so they have an aspect, and the corresponding co-emergence, the meaning is the same, that is, the correspondence is explained by the five aspects of the basis and so on. Some say that if this is the case, then the two, mind and mental factors, are just names, so the two have the same meaning, that is, having a basis and so on, this statement is not intended. Second, for non-associated formations, what is meant by "the characteristics of all conditioned phenomena" and "attainment"? Briefly show, explain in detail, show other differences of the Dharma and then conclude. First, the Sutra says: "The aggregate of formations is different," based on this, some manifestors think that non-associated formations are neither material nor conscious conditioned phenomena, and they say that this is a different entity from form, mind, and mental factors. The two, Sutra-mind and Consciousness-only mind, are nominal existents established in the state of these three, so they are not substantial, so they are neither one nor different from the state-holder, if they are one, then the state is impermanent and so on, and the state-holder mind and so on should also become many, and just as the state-holder mind is one, its states of arising and ceasing and so on should also become one. If it is other, then conditioned phenomena should become permanent, and it is established by valid cognition that it is other than the three, form, mind, and mental factors.
