因此,眼和法界的一部分是见。什么是见呢?五种烦恼和世间、有学、无学的正见,共有八种。其余的十七个半不是见,因为不是对色的见,并且对所知没有确定的分别。第二部分有七点:破斥五门识认为是见;建立有依的眼是见;根取境的方式;确定有依的时间;建立根作为所依的方式;识依于所依的理由;所依等四者的相应差别。第一点是:如果八种见决定只是意识和相应,那么五门识和相应的智慧,即使不是烦恼和无漏的见,为什么不是世间的正见呢?与前五识相应而生的心不是正见,因为对境没有确定的分别。第二点是:那么眼也会变成不是见吗?眼不是进行分别的见,但从看色的角度来说是见,因为眼能看见各种色。不是所有的眼都能看见,只有有依的眼才能看见。经部师认为只有识才能看见。毗婆沙师说:依靠眼的识并不能单独看见色,因为被墙壁等阻隔的色是看不见的。如果仅仅是识在看,因为是无碍的,所以也应该能看见阻隔,因此是根与有碍之物结合后才能看见。洛匝(Lo tsa)说:学者的说法是不合理的,即使被清澈的水等阻隔也能看见,而须弥山无论被什么阻隔都看不见。因此,看见与否取决于对显现的障碍是否存在,以及识是否产生。因此,理由不成立,并且周遍也不成立,因为根即使没有接触也能取境,因此可以推断被阻隔之物也能被看见。识的对境和所缘是有碍的,因此并不能完全证明没有阻碍,即使对遮蔽物没有阻碍,也不是确定的。日下部(Nyi og pa)与经部师的观点一致。第三部分有三点:双眼都能看见;接触与未接触;

Therefore, one part of the eye and the dharma realm is seeing. What is seeing? The five afflictions and the mundane, learners, and non-learners' right view, totaling eight types. The remaining seventeen and a half are not seeing, because they are not seeing of form, and there is no definite discrimination of the knowable. The second part has seven points: refuting the assertion that the five sense consciousnesses are seeing; establishing that the dependent eye is seeing; the way in which the sense organs apprehend objects; determining the time of dependence; establishing the way in which the sense organ is the support; the reason why consciousness depends on the support; the corresponding differences of the four, such as the support. The first point is: if the eight views are determined to be only mind and corresponding, then why is the wisdom of the five sense consciousnesses and corresponding, even if it is not afflicted and uncontaminated seeing, not mundane right view? The mind that arises in correspondence with the first five consciousnesses is not right view, because there is no definite discrimination of the object. The second point is: then will the eye also become not seeing? The eye is not seeing that discriminates, but from the point of view of seeing form, it is seeing, because the eye can see various forms. Not all eyes can see, only the dependent eye can see. The Sutra school asserts that only consciousness can see. The Vaibhashika says: the consciousness that relies on the eye cannot see form alone, because the form that is blocked by walls, etc., is not visible. If only consciousness sees, because it is unobstructed, it should also be able to see the obstruction, so it is the root that sees in conjunction with the obstructed thing. Lo tsa said: The scholar's statement is unreasonable, even if it is blocked by clear water, etc., it can be seen, but Mount Sumeru cannot be seen no matter what blocks it. Therefore, seeing depends on whether there is an obstacle to appearance and whether consciousness arises. Therefore, the reason is not established, and the pervasion is also not established, because the root can apprehend the object even without contact, so it can be inferred that the obstructed thing can also be seen. The object and the object of consciousness are obstructed, so it cannot be completely proved that there is no obstruction, and even if there is no obstruction to the obscuration, it is not certain. Nyi og pa agrees with the view of the Sutra school. The third part has three points: both eyes can see; contact and non-contact;

How does it apprehend? It apprehends in a way that is equal or unequal. First, the eyes see all forms, so do the two eyes each generate a consciousness, or generate one consciousness and see? The eyes are both seeing in the manner of generating one substance of consciousness, because seeing with one eye is not clear, and when separating the two eyes, it sees more clearly than before. For example, if two lamps are lit in one room, it is very bright. If it is not like this, it will become a large number, and it should not become clear, because it is not the help of the previous one. For example, if Deva opens his eyes, the offering of sacrifice will not become clear. It is also not the case that the support is cut into two, and the support becomes two, because consciousness is not a corporeal thing, and does not abide in the object. The Sautrāntikas sometimes consider it to be the same, and sometimes consider it to be different, so it is said. Second, do the six faculties apprehend by touching or not touching the object? The three, eye, mind, and ear, apprehend without touching the object, respectively seeing forms and hearing sounds from a distance, and the mind is not a corporeal thing, so it should not touch. If they touch and apprehend, then these three will not have direct perception. Some think that the ear also touches and apprehends. The three, nose, tongue, and body, apprehend by touching, other than not touching, and it is also established that one cannot apprehend odors without inhaling breath, and one cannot apprehend taste and touch from a distance. So why not apprehend the object that is with oneself? It is the nature of ability, just as not touching and apprehending, one cannot apprehend everything. The meaning of touching and not touching is considered by all to be contact. Third, do the six faculties apprehend an equal object, or an unequal object? The three, nose, etc., are equal because they apprehend what touches themselves, and it is thought that the scope of the faculty is how large, and the object is apprehended how large. For the two, eye and ear, it is not certain whether the object is equal or unequal, and the mind is not a corporeal thing, so there is no complete limit. If it is said that it is unreasonable for the faculty to touch the object and apprehend it, because the aggregated dust is surrounded by intervals, so they do not touch each other. There is no fault, because mutual connection is called touching. Fourth, just as the last five objects are the three times, so is the support.
