The eight non-possessors arise from the causes of equal arising and universal going, and there are those that arise from the cause of equal flow and those that are born from ripening, but there is no arising from growth, because it is not accumulation, so it does not grow like an empty sac. Other external realms have all three types: forms that are not different from the ripening power are not different from ripening, and although they are different, some of the untaken ones related to the continuum arise from growth, and those former ones give rise to the latter ones, and those unrelated to the continuum also follow in the corpse, because those are born from the cause of equal flow. The second is: among the eighteen realms, the only one that possesses the permanent substance and nature is the unconditioned of the Dharma realm. What does not arise from the cause of equal flow is a small part of the last three realms, in the first moment of the patience of Dharma wisdom in suffering, the main wisdom and the non-mental activity of the retinue, as well as mental factors and attainment and characteristics, that is, the Dharma realm and consciousness, only in the mind and consciousness realm are called different entities. Because the uncontaminated has not preceded. Sixth, regarding the difference obtained by the three of faculty, object, and consciousness, if the eye realm is newly obtained from what was not previously possessed, then is the eye consciousness also newly obtained from what was not previously possessed? Answer: The eye and the eye consciousness realms are obtained separately, and obtained together, and the word "also" indicates that neither is the case, there are four possibilities. The first possibility is that they are gradually born in the intermediate state, and those born from the formless realm to the second dhyana and so on. Because the former has the attainment of virtue and affliction, and the latter does not have eye consciousness in its own place. The second possibility is that they are born from the second dhyana and so on to the first dhyana and the desire realm, connecting the continuum in the intermediate existence, and when the first eye consciousness is manifested in the second dhyana and so on, because the lineage or substance of the eye already exists. The third possibility is when one is born from the formless realm to the intermediate existence between the first dhyana and the desire realm. The fourth possibility is when one is born from the formless realm to that very place. The word "also" merely indicates the four possibilities by possessing it. The one that only has the eye is: when one is born in the second dhyana and so on and does not look at form.

Because if there is no eye consciousness in this life, and the initial prophecy is not manifested, it will not be obtained. Those who only possess eye consciousness are those who have not obtained the desire realm eye or afflictions, because the eye is unprophesied, so there cannot be prior or later attainment, but it is associated with virtuous and afflicted consciousness. The third case is, having obtained the desire realm eye without loss, etc. The fourth case is, born in the formless realm. Similarly, apply this to eye, form, and eye consciousness as well. For ear, etc., also infer in this way and apply accordingly. The seventh is that the differences such as inner and outer are seven: The difference between inner and outer is that the support is the same. Differences such as what is to be abandoned by seeing. The difference of whether it is a view or not. By what consciousness is it known. The difference between permanence and impermanence. The difference of whether it is a sense faculty or not. The first is: Among the eighteen realms, the inner realms are twelve, that is, the remainder except for the six objects such as form. Because the six objects are external realms. The difference between inner and outer lies in self and mine, continuum and tenet, object and object-possessor, birth place, etc., here the latter is the main one. The second is: Among the eighteen realms, what is called the dharma realm is the only one that has a support, because in the great accumulation path and all the noble ones, the wisdom arises that all dharmas are selfless. The remaining ten realms not only have a support, but are also the same as the support, for example, with the eye root, in the past one saw form, now one is seeing, and in the future one will see, this is one's own function, because one enjoys the object or generates consciousness and has a support. The Kashmiris believe that: the eye that has ceased, is ceasing, will cease, and the dharma of non-arising before seeing form, these four do not rely on their own function, but have a support, are form, and are of the same kind, so they are considered the same. The Heliocentric school believes that: for the dharma of non-arising, it is divided into holding the object and not arising, or being associated with the desire realm and the initial eye consciousness, and not holding the object and not arising, or the two kinds of eye consciousness from the second moment onwards that are not associated, the former is the accepted one, and it is the same up to the body root. Form is what ceases, is ceasing, and will cease after generating eye consciousness, having a support.
