They are also of two kinds: the producer and the produced. Because out of the eleven places, four are producers and seven are produced. The remaining nine form places, as well as one aspect of the Dharma realm, non-cognitive form, are only produced. Because form places necessarily depend on the producer. Non-form places are neither. The necessity here is to prevent students from being proficient in the characteristics of Dharma, and monks from misunderstanding the meaning of the sutra where the Buddha covers his face with his hand, mistakenly believing that the ten places are producers. Third, among the eighteen realms, the ten form realms are aggregates of many particles. Because the word "is" is definitive, the unobstructed eight are not formed by aggregation. Fourth, among the eighteen realms, the cutter, such as swords, and the cut, such as trees, are the four realms outside of sound. The meaning of cutting is to separate the gathered, related things, thereby creating a continuous stream of fragments. The unobstructed eight are not form, sound has no continuity, and the senses are as clear as light, so they are neither. However, when the tip of the nose is cut off and reattached, consciousness arises because it is related to the one with senses, so the proliferated sense reappears. And the movement after the end of the eyeball is cut off is the wind belonging to sentient beings, not the function of the sense. They are the four realms, and similarly, the wood to be burned and the measuring scale are also only the four realms. Regarding the burner, some say it is the tactile fire of the cause, and some say that because there are four realms there, they collectively turn it into ashes. Regarding the measured, some say it is only heavy touch, and some say that the four realms existing in the collection of measured ghee, etc., collectively make the head and tail of the scale high and low. For these two statements, there are different sectarian views. Li Dun said that the cutter is only rough, and the measurer is only a difference in touch, and it should be said that there are different views. The necessity of discussing such a meaning in the treatise is because of the concern that the movement after the end of the eyeball is cut off will also cut off the sense, and whether the senses will also be burned when a living person is burned alive?

It is to dispel the wrong notions of thinking "is." Fifth, it is divided into general and specific. First, among the eighteen realms, those that arise from one maturation and those that arise from growth are the five inner realms such as the eye, because the faculties arise from the maturation of virtuous and non-virtuous actions. The definition is that the action that produces fruit in due season, having power and might, is maturation, and it is born from it, or born from the cause of maturation, or the cause of virtue and non-virtue is established as the name of the fruit and called maturation. If there is no cause of growth, the faculties will not be clear, but they will be clear by relying on food, good deeds, sleep, and samadhi. The Noble One said that celibacy is the five causes of growth, but it is said that it is only non-harming. The growing faculties, as before, are completely guarded and surrounded by the maturing faculties. Moreover, the mind is eliminated by the five inner objects. These two have internal homogeneous causes, but there is no third other than these two, because there will be no eyes, etc. on the corpse, and if there is on the corpse, consciousness will arise from it and become immortal. The sound of speech arises from the other two, but because it arises at will and can be connected after being cut off, it does not have the characteristics, so it is not born from maturation, let alone the others? If you ask, doesn't the Establishment of Things say that the maturation of abandoning harsh words can accomplish the Brahma sound? Nyiawopa said that it is the third lineage, from which a special thing that arises from the nature of maturation can be accomplished, and from which sound is accomplished. Khachepa said that it is the fifth lineage, arising from karma, from which growth, homogeneous cause, and sound are successively accomplished. Therefore, growth arises from the cause of growth, the body becomes weak, and the voice is high-pitched, which is the voice of sentient beings; what arises from the homogeneous cause is the mental activity of speech, which is pervasive; all the sounds of sentient beings are the equal shares of the five aggregates respectively; the sound of the external environment arises from the homogeneous cause of other fruit colors, but it is not the homogeneous cause of the sound itself, because it is not continuous.
