It is established without being. The meaning of obstruction is dullness, and there are three of them. Obstruction to the object is when those with objects are dull to their own object and do not grasp other objects. Obstruction to the object of focus is when minds and mental factors are dull to their own object of focus. The obstruction of obscuration is when, in the place of one accumulated form, it hinders the arising of another form. The difference between the first two is that arising does not depend on the object, and depends on the object. Here, the last one is taken. If so, is it contradictory to "desire, then there is no faculty," and so on? If you think so, here it is said to be obstruction of the same kind, but there it is said to be the simultaneous arising of different kinds, but it is also said to be arising in a mixed way. Some say it arises in one group. The second has two: the difference between the three, such as virtue, and the difference between the three realms. The first is that among the eighteen realms, there are eight that have not been specifically indicated as one. Among those said to be obstructive, except for the realms of form and sound, the rest are not specifically indicated by their nature. The other ten of the eight have three types in terms of kind: form and sound that exist in the continuum of sentient beings, the expressive form produced by virtuous and non-virtuous minds is the virtuous and non-virtuous that arise from all sides, and the rest are not indicated. Do their smell, taste, and touch also turn into virtuous and non-virtuous? No, because they are not focused on by those three that arise from all sides. If so, does the non-expressive form of meditative absorption also turn into non-virtuous? No, because the mind of the basis of meditative absorption is virtuous. If so, do the divine eye and the mind of emanation also turn into virtuous? The scholar refuted this, and the position was not established. Some say that the non-expressive form of meditative absorption is not associated, but because it follows the mind, it is the virtuous of all-arising. In the seven realms of mind, faith and so on are associated with virtue, attachment and so on are not associated with virtue, and the rest are not indicated. The cessation of analysis of phenomena is the ultimate truth, the many grounds of virtue such as faith are the nature, their accompanying mental factors are associated, the non-expressive form of virtue and attainment and the two samadhis of characteristics are the virtue of all-arising. The three poisons, shame, and shamelessness are the nature, and their accompanying mental factors are not associated.

Actions, acquisitions, and natures that are not virtuous are all caused by unwholesome intentions. Mental factors such as those born from retribution, as well as life force and commonality, are neutral. Their nature is neutral. Second, what belongs to the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm? What belongs to the increasing craving of the desire realm is all eighteen types, including those belonging to the two upper realms and also the uncontaminated. What exists in the form realm is fourteen types, out of the eighteen, excluding the realm of object-smell, taste, and the consciousness of the nose and tongue that possess objects. Smell and taste do not exist, because they are the nature of coarse food, and there, one has already separated from attachment to coarse food. The two that possess objects also do not exist, because there is no object. If it is said that touch is also coarse food, so will it also not exist? There exists touch that is not coarse food, while smell and taste do not have anything that is not coarse food. Touch can be established through the need for clothing and so on. Since there is no need to generate their respective consciousnesses, do the nose and tongue faculties not exist? The Vaibhashikas and the noble Asanga both explain that because there is a need to adorn the body and speak, and because it is produced by karma aroused by craving for the faculties, the nose and tongue faculties exist. The teacher says that adorning the body is accomplished solely by the basis of the faculty, so the faculty is not needed. If there is no faculty, it will not become adorned, just like a corpse. There is no basis without a faculty, just like the male and female faculty bases. If there is no craving for the five faculties, then from the beginning one has already separated from attachment to the five objects, so it would follow that one has separated from craving for form. The sutra also says that the faculties are not incomplete, nor are they non-existent, which contradicts the sutra. It is not contradictory, because whatever exists is complete, otherwise the male and female faculties would also exist. What belongs to the formless realm is only the types of mind, dharma, and the realm of mind-consciousness, because having separated from craving for form, there are no ten forms, so there are also no five consciousnesses that arise from them. The third has three: contaminated and uncontaminated, with conceptualization and with investigation, with object and without object. The first is the eighteen realms.
