Therefore, no matter which sutra the story comes from, it is said to be the number of eighty thousand. Measuring from the perspective of the necessity of one's own system, it is to counteract the different behaviors of the three poisons and arrogance of sentient beings. The aggregates of Dharma also similarly proclaim the impure and other corresponding dharmas. To counteract attachment and other behaviors, each complete story of impurity and others is regarded as the measure of the Dharma aggregates, or it corresponds to the number of opposing sides, and eighty thousand are proclaimed. The second is to explain the nature of the real and, incidentally, the two realms. The first is that just as the Dharma aggregates are summarized into aggregates, similarly, the names of the aggregates, places, and realms that are appropriately proclaimed in other sutras should be carefully examined for their respective characteristics and summarized into the five aggregates, twelve places, and eighteen realms as previously described. How to summarize? Among the five aggregates of liberation in the name of aggregates, the first is the karma of body and speech, so it is classified as the form aggregate, and the latter four are mental factors, so they are classified as the formation aggregate. The summary of the aggregates of confessing sins, rejoicing, and praying should also be considered. Furthermore, the five places of liberation mentioned in the sutras are hearing, chanting, explaining to others, contemplating the meaning of hearing, and the wisdom arising from meditating on the signs of samadhi, because cultivating these generates liberation. All of these are wisdom, so they are classified as Dharma. Hearing, explaining, and chanting also have sounds. Generally speaking, consciousness, feeling, etc., also arise as attendants of that wisdom, so they are also summarized by the places of sound, mind, and Dharma. The first eight of the ten places of cessation are non-attachment, so they are Dharma. Together with the retinue, there are five aggregates, so they are classified as both mind and Dharma. The latter two and the four formless places, and the two places, namely non-perception and neither non-perception, are the nature of mind and mental factors, so they are summarized by mind and Dharma. Non-perception is classified into the ten places other than smell and taste. The name of the realm is also shown, also called the one with many realms, also called the Great Dharma Mirror. Venerable, how proficient are you in the realms? Ananda realm
