When acting thus, all emanations speak. If one cannot speak, then all of them will not speak. Thus it is said. If at the time of the speaking mind, there is no emanation mind, then the emanation arising from that cause will also not exist, who will speak? At the initial time of combination, make an emanation and bless it, causing it to speak. Thus casting (the blessing), after emanating with the emanation mind, bless it to remain here, so that other speaking minds may engage in the speech of words. Is it only the living who have blessings? Even after the death of the emanator, as long as the cast (blessing) is not exhausted, there is still blessing. For example, the great Kashyapa blessed an emanation, and after his passing, that emanation held bones in his hand and taught the Dharma, causing ninety-six kotis of Shravakas to attain the fruit of Arhatship, as stated in the minor scriptures. Similarly, it is also mentioned in the Karuṇāpuṇḍarīka Sūtra. For things that do not rely on flesh and blood, there is no such blessing, because the great Kashyapa did not bless flesh and blood, but blessed bones and so on. Others say that there is no blessing for the dead, and that the skeleton of Kashyapa remains in the world due to the power of the gods of the Pure Abodes. Does one mind only emanate one emanation? At the beginning, many minds emanate one emanation, but after clairvoyance becomes purified, it is the opposite, one mind can emanate many emanations. Fourth, in the second place, is it certain that the emanation mind is unspecified? That which arises from meditation is unspecified, it is only possessed by those who are liberated from desire, therefore it is not unwholesome, and because it manifests in higher realms, it is not wholesome. That which is born from beings such as gods, nagas, flesh-eaters, etc., has three aspects due to the influence of benefit and harm. Fifth, are the two kinds of magical powers limited to those two? No, those two, together with those arising from mantras, those arising from medicine, and those arising from karma, make five kinds. Second, are the divine eye and ear the real things of the gods, or are they merely similar fabrications like those of a Chakravartin? They are real things, they are the dhyana of producing fruit.

There is no difference from me. The support is that, relying on the power of meditative concentration, in the previous aggregate of faculties, with the element of the meditative ground as the cause, the first formation of colored objects occurs, and until they are not destroyed, they are always dependent. Or, it is said that for those with only one or two supports, such as those who are congenitally disabled, blind, etc., who are incomplete, it does not exist. It is also acceptable to combine the dharmas of both (the support and the supported). The object is that which is distant, subtle, etc., meaning those with obscuring objects of activity. Because the flesh eye cannot see: distant objects, obscured objects, and subtle objects. Therefore, it is thought that the divine eye can see. How far can the divine eye see? The Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Buddhas can see one thousand, two thousand, and three thousand worlds respectively without intentional fabrication. And the intentionally fabricated divine eyes of these three can see two thousand, three thousand, and countless worlds respectively. The third question is: Is it only through birth that one obtains miraculous powers? Although there are also those obtained through birth in other superknowledges, the divine eye obtained by birth cannot see the subtle nature of the intermediate state, etc. The mind-consciousness obtained by birth has three types, namely the three types of virtue, etc., initially determined by intention. The logicians who understand by grasping the characteristics of body and mind, and those produced by the mantra called "attention," are also the three types of virtue, etc. The mind-consciousness and the recollection of past lives obtained by birth by hell beings are known at the first moment of birth, when they are not threatened by feeling. Moreover, in the fourth place, some say that when born in hell, they do not connect with virtuous karma, so it is said that in most cases, intention manifests. Other sentient beings always know, and hungry ghosts also know, such as: The enjoyments I have accumulated, both favorable and unfavorable, are enjoyed by others, while we can only rely on suffering. The support refers to humans, because humans do not obtain all five miraculous powers through birth, but they exist in other sentient beings. There are also no miraculous powers obtained by birth in hell, and it is said that the eyes and ears obtained by birth exist in the desire realm gods, nagas, and the form realm. The remaining two exist in the four types of sentient beings. Miraculous powers arise from karma and exist in humans and animals, while the eyes, ears, and recollection of past lives arise from karma and exist only in humans.
