Those are also born from the diligence other than the Buddha, not obtained from detachment from desire. There is nothing whatsoever that arises from the Buddha's diligence, because the manifestation of all qualities depends solely on his intention. Second, there are six things in common with ordinary beings: categories, essence, ground, object, manner of attainment, and the determination of these. First, what is meant by "direct perception" mentioned above? There are six kinds of direct perception: miraculous direct perception, divine ear, mind, i.e., knowing the minds of others, recollection of past lives, seeing death and birth with the divine eye, and direct perception for the purpose of directly realizing the exhaustion of defilements. Second, all of these are the nature of wisdom, the intelligence contained by the path of liberation, because it is impossible to know when there is no obstruction. Although the two, eye and ear, are not actual liberation, they are named after the cause. Third, the remaining five are the ground of the four concentrations. The direct perception of eye and ear is the ground of the first, and placing them on the upper three grounds is in terms of the basis or the uninterrupted attainment. There is no ground of the formless realm, because mind is established by relying on form, and also the recollection of past lives is ultimately established through the memory of past lives. The formless realm does not exist because it does not grasp the lower ground of past lives and causes, etc. The remaining three do not exist because they focus on form. Fourth, it has the object of its own ground and the lower ground, therefore, the first can also go to that ground or the lower ground, or manifest those two, but not the upper ground. Similarly, the second also hears the sound of its own ground and the lower ground, but not the sound of the upper ground, and so on. Fifth, if what is to be obtained is unfamiliar in recent lifetimes, it is obtained through diligence, and if it is familiar, it is obtained through detachment from desire, and everything is manifested only through diligence. Sixth, in common and

Specifically, it is established as distinct. First, it is combined with the four mindfulnesses, the three virtues, the three knowledges, and the three miracles. First, the third clairvoyance is the latter three mindfulnesses, while the three clairvoyances of magical power, ear, and eye are the first mindfulness, because they respectively focus on the four external sources, sound, and form. Recollecting previous lives is knowing all four, such as the body, so it is all four. The sixth is knowing four or the last of the ten or six distinctions of consciousness. Second, eye and ear consciousness are indeterminate, because they mostly rely on the upper three grounds for contemplation. Gyalsay said that there is also virtue that relies on the first ground itself. Lume said that innate virtue, although arising in the realm of the five senses, is not clairvoyance; acquired virtue does not arise in the realm of those three wisdoms, so it is only indeterminate. The rest are only virtuous. Third, the sutra says, "The three knowledges are complete, therefore they are called three vidyas." And again, what is the knowledge that is said to be "the third pitaka, the third knowledge"? The last three clairvoyances are called the three non-learning knowledges because they know the meaning of decisiveness, namely, remembering previous lives, death and birth, and manifesting the exhaustion of defilements. The reason for determining only these three is to reverse ignorance of the past, etc. These are to sequentially reverse confusion about the past, future, and middle. Moreover, that which is non-learning and also knowledge is the knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements, which is uncontaminated. Its contaminated and the other two are conventional knowledge, so they are not the nature of non-learning, but because they arise in its continuum, they are called the knowledge of that non-learning. The first two knowledges are thought to exist in learners who are free from attachment, but they are not taught as knowledge in the sutra, because they are continuums that are overwhelmed by ignorance. For example, it is like not teaching liberation. Fourth, the sutra says that the first, third, and sixth clairvoyances are the miracles of magical power, eloquence, and conformity. The meaning of the word is that it captivates the mind from the sound of hara, so it is a miracle, that is, the initial, middle, and final three, or the taught.
