If so, is it established as the path because the object and nature are the same? Or, as the Great (Tibetan: མཧཱ།) says, it is the path because it continuously progresses upwards. Second, the path of the four actualities of meditation is easy because, like a complete and balanced chariot wheel, it is sustained by its limbs, and because tranquility and insight are balanced, it arises naturally without effort, and other grounds cannot match it. The paths of the differentiated and formless realms are difficult because they are the opposite of this, as both have little tranquility and the formless has little insight. The path of the dull-witted is slow to manifest and realize what is to be known, while the path of the sharp-witted is quick to manifest. Therefore, there are four possibilities: the easy path with slow manifestation is the dull-witted who relies on meditation; second is the sharp-witted of other grounds; third is the sharp-witted of meditation; and fourth is the dull-witted of others. Third, regarding the classification and categorization of the aspects conducive to enlightenment, what dharma is practiced at what stage, how many dharmas are with outflows and without outflows, on what ground are how many dharmas, and at what stage is faith gained and investigation conducted after knowing. First, knowing the exhaustion and non-arising of the three vehicles is the common ground, which is enlightenment. From the word Bodhi (Tibetan: བོ་དྷི།, Sanskrit Devanagari: बोध, Sanskrit Romanization: bodhi, Chinese literal meaning: awakening), it is pure because it has abandoned all the darkness of afflictions and non-afflictions, and it is awakened because it has accomplished its own benefit and realized that there is nothing to be abandoned. Just like the word Buddha (Tibetan: བུདྡྷ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: बुद्ध, Sanskrit Romanization: buddha, Chinese literal meaning: awakened) itself, it is awakening and increasing. What is in accordance with that enlightenment is the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, because they are directly or indirectly in accordance with that enlightenment and are the cause. Among them, if the emphasis is on the distinction of stages, the seven limbs are directly in accordance, and the others are indirectly in accordance. If not, just as it exists in the Vajra-like Samadhi, it is in accordance through direct and indirect means. To categorize by cause with the distinction of stages is to exist in one's own stage as explained below, and what is not so is to obtain the names of earlier and later in the higher and lower order of the path. The first five obtain names in all higher and lower orders, and the latter two are in the noble path. To categorize by result is to exist in the path of training and no more learning, which is in accordance with the subsequent preparatory path. The six perfections, etc., are not in accordance with all three enlightenments, so they are not shown as conducive factors, which is reasonable. Those are also just substances divided from the perspective of names.

That is, which ten? That is, from faith to tranquility. How is it done? That is, it is called mindfulness and proper attention, and the miraculous legs are the nature of wisdom, diligence, and samadhi in order. Therefore, two are faith, eight are diligence, four are mindfulness, and eight are samadhi. The thirty are summarized by five natures. The equanimity and joy of the Bodhi limbs, as well as the awareness of the path limbs, the three of the precepts limbs, and the tranquility of the Bodhi limbs, are what the teachers allow. The Vaibhashikas say that the precepts of body and speech are different natures, so there are eleven natures. In summary, precepts, joy, tranquility, and equanimity are six, and the rest are summarized into five roots. If wisdom, diligence, and samadhi each appear in four forms, how can there be eight of each? Second, in what stages are these practiced? The seven categories are the karma of entering the path in order. The first one is in the accumulation path, and there is mindfulness to eliminate the four inversions. From the decisive parts, in the warmth position, the cause of obtaining the difference of the true object and appearance is used to increase diligence, so there is right abandonment. In the peak position, in order to enter the forbearance position of non-decreasing goodness, there are miraculous legs. In the forbearance position, because of non-decreasing, one obtains the freedom of faith and so on, so there are roots. In the supreme Dharma of the world, because it does not contradict, it does not regress, so there are powers. In the path of cultivation, in order to approach the wisdom of Bodhi's extinction and non-birth, there are Bodhi limbs. In the path of seeing, by cultivating the path limbs of rapid travel, one can distinguish them well. The order of numbers is as previously stated without regression. The Mind-Only School believes that there are three accumulation paths, warmth and peak, forbearance, the supreme Dharma of the world, the path of seeing, and the path of cultivation. Third, the seven branches of Bodhi and the eight branches of the path are without outflows, and the other five have two kinds, that is, the difference between ordinary people and saints. Fourth, in the first dhyana, there are all seven categories, and if one cannot handle it, then there is everything except the joy of the Bodhi limbs. In the second dhyana, there is everything except the seeking and examining of the path limbs. In the two upper dhyanas, there is everything except those two.
