We are, its experience, as a similar cause or self-effect, is one that has the occurrence of great enjoyment. To that, the enjoyer is the Vipāka (karmic result). The second is, other than the noble one who is free from attachment, offering to a stupa is giving for the sake of one's own purpose only; those free from attachment giving to sentient beings, except for what is seen in this life, is giving for the sake of others only; the former giving to sentient beings is giving for the sake of both purposes, and the latter offering to a stupa is giving because it is not for the sake of both purposes. The third is divided into: brief statement, and detailed explanation. The first is, the distinction of its Vipāka is from the three distinctions of the giver, the object, and the field. The second is divided into: the actual distinction, and what extends from that. The first is divided into: the distinction of the giver, the distinction of the object, and the distinction of the field. The first is, the distinguished giver is faith, and the fruit of giving with the seven noble riches is particularly distinguished, respecting the field, and also with one's own hands, giving at the right time, giving without harming the field and the object, therefore one will receive respect and great enjoyment, will not miss the autonomous place and the time of need, and will obtain without being obstructed by thieves and so on. The second is, if one gives objects that are complete with color and so on, smell, taste, and touch, then the fruits from that will also be in order: a beautiful form, being endowed with fame, being pleasing to the mind, being very youthful, and a body that is comfortable to touch at the right time. The third is divided into: general instruction, the best of giving, and the distinctions of the field. The first is, as it says in the sutra: 'Ānanda, if you give to animals, you can expect a hundredfold return; if you give to a person who has broken their vows, you can expect a thousandfold return.' Like this, the field of suffering beings and the sick and so on, and the distinction of helping parents and so on, there is a hundred thousandfold return for those who keep vows, and it is said that giving to the noble ones is immeasurable, therefore the field of the distinctions of qualities is particularly distinguished. The second is, the best of giving is the liberated Arhat, and the field is also giving to the liberated one internally, and even if both are not liberated, the Bodhisattva giving to whomever is the best, because it is giving for the benefit of the Buddha and sentient beings. Apart from that, eight kinds of giving are spoken of.

Among them, the eighth is supreme. What is the eighth? It is briefly taught by the holy giving, the adornment of the mind is miraculous power, the enjoyment of the mind is the eight noble paths, the gathering of yoga is the two of tranquility and insight, the supreme meaning is nirvana, so it is said. What is increasing? The first is similar, and the others are guided by faith and so on, eliminating the defilement of stinginess, obtaining the bliss of equanimity, and nirvana, so it is said. In the Blaze of Reasoning, it is said that the two of the accumulation path and the application path, as well as the seven grounds of cause, the pure ground, and the Buddha. The eight are closeness, 1. fear, 2. giving to oneself, 3. becoming giving, 4. being the place of giving of parents and ancestors, 5. heaven, 6. giving for the sake of fame, 7. From the former and the eighth, the first seven are inferior because they have objects. Third, if giving to the noble ones is said to be immeasurable, but giving to the five non-noble ones is also immeasurable, namely parents, the sick, and the Dharma speakers who benefit by doing all the deeds of the Buddhas, and the Bodhisattvas on the edge of life like Prince Siddhartha, the latter is more superior than the former, so the fruit of offering to them is immeasurable such as hundreds of millions of times. Second, from that, there are differences in weight, differences in accumulation and non-accumulation, and refutation of wrong thoughts. The first is, with six causes, the ending is the continuity of what is done later, and the field, and the basis is the path of action, and the combination is doing the work of body and speech for this purpose, and the thought of accomplishing the ultimate, thinking is the combination or any other motivation, if these are small, the karma is also small, and if they are large, the karma is also large, because the result exists, each cause has weight, and if all are complete, it is the heaviest. The second is, in the Sutra, it is said that karma has been done and accumulated, so what is accumulation? Because it is not that it was not considered in advance, it was done after careful consideration, and the karma by which rebirth is accomplished, that karma has been completely completed, and after doing it, there is no regret, and later repentance has been done, and there is no conflicting antidote, and the retinue of rejoicing or shamelessness, etc., and although the situation is uncertain, the result is certain, these six are called the karma of accumulated karma, and the opposite is just done. Third, even if there is no recipient, merit
