The first two of "na" etc. are similar. The third is: When a king laughs, with women, at the time of taking a bride, at the time of killing, at the time of stealing wealth, lying and harming others. It is said that these five lies do not lead to downfall. Thus it is said. All that gives rise to wrong views, and words that speak of evil treatises, are like nonsense. Or for the sake of gain and honor, for the sake of revenge for harm, and saying "there is nothing wrong with this" and speaking lies and so on. The three of mind (non-virtuous actions) arise from the aftermath of those three poisons (greed, hatred, and ignorance), therefore greed and the other three arise from the three roots of non-virtue. Wrong view also has the case of being attached to gain and honor, hating enemies, and holding on to it knowing that there is no fault, so say the ancient wise ones. The sutra says that (virtue) arises from the three roots of virtue, which refers to the actions such as prostrations, and at the time of the main action of speaking the third, and from the end until not abandoning it, all are initiated with a virtuous mind, and it is necessarily in accordance with the three roots, therefore it arises from the completeness of the three: non-attachment, non-hatred, and non-ignorance. Third, by which affliction is it brought to an end? What is its basis? What is the extent to which it becomes the main action? First, killing, harming, and harsh words are brought to an end by hatred. Adultery, greed, and taking what is not given are completed by desire. Wrong view is completed by ignorance. The remaining three are considered to be completed by all three. Second, the basis of these four is, in order, sentient beings, possessions, name and form, the five aggregates, and the collection of names. Third, if the object to be killed and the killer die at the same time, or if the killer dies before, does the path of action exist or not? If the killer dies before or at the same time as the object to be killed, then although the preparation has been done and the result has been completed, there is no main action of the path of killing, because the revealing and non-revealing of the time of death of the sentient being is real. Because at that time the body that made the preparation has perished, and another body of the next life has arisen. This also means that the main action must be established on the basis of the body that made the preparation. Just as death abandons the vows, the preparation made by another body does not

Said accomplishment. It is said in the commentary that there is no concluding remark preceding the main text. Furthermore, if many people wage war, etc., and one person kills the life of another, then with whom is that person associated? They are all associated as the perpetrator, because they are involved in the same matter. Fourth, the nature is real. The meaning of the words of the path of action. The activity of wrong view. First, the nature of the actions of body, speech, and mind. First, killing, stealing, and sexual misconduct. First, killing is the effort made with the intention to kill this, and the object to be killed must not be mistaken. If the thought and effort are wrong, it will not become the main action. If it is suicide, it is said to be a gross offense, so it is killing others instead of oneself. Moreover, the object to be killed must die first. If someone else leads and later the thought of the same purpose arises, then there is association. This is completed by entrusting, and it is the same for other and virtuous deeds as well. When entrusting to others, even if it can be accomplished by mind, such as through speech and harmony, or through the anger of a sage, most of the time it relies on the body, so it is a bodily action. Second, stealing is intentionally and directly robbing others of their wealth by force, or secretly taking possession of it without others noticing. If it is a loan or deposit, and it is taken back by abandoning it or by deception, then it is the main action. In short, burning the property of others with hatred, etc., is the same as stealing, or even more sinful than stealing. Stealing things offered to stupas is said to be a gross offense, which refers to nirvana without remainder. Stealing ownerless treasures is also the same. The property of a deceased monk, if a prayer has been performed, belongs to the Sangha within the boundary, and if not, it belongs to all the disciples of the Buddha. Third, sexual misconduct is the desire to go where one should not go. If divided, there are four types: places where one should not go, the first is being possessed by another; the second is mother and daughter; the third is those related to parents up to seven generations; the fourth is even if it is one's own, but not a limb, such as the mouth and the paths of feces and urine; places that are not suitable, such as in broad daylight, stupas and temples; times that are not suitable, such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, and when observing vows. In short, it is also said to engage in more than five unsuitable times. Or combine the first three into one, plus the three of one's own wife, which makes four. Add the word "not mistaken," other
