Furthermore, the aforementioned words have also been applied, as indicated. Thirdly, the non-arising of faults is shown by the distinctness. Fourthly, some say that without giving a general explanation, they explain from the basis of the aggregate arising, but the basis being one and many, etc., has been shown as such. Secondly, the limb of intention: Intention must abide in its own nature. Although some say that it is explained when showing the form of other beings, in our own system, if there is a loss of conceptualization that is permissible in name, then offenses from defeat downwards do not arise, as the basis of the aggregate arising has shown. Secondly, the major part has two limbs: the limb of the body and the limb of the name. The first is that some say that other than the four killings, not taking what is given, defeat, and the first two remaining, it is necessary not to transform the body into another, that is, relying on the form of other beings, etc. In our own system, it is said that to generate the remaining offense of speaking obscene words, it is necessary not to make the body invisible, and to generate the offense of bearing a burden, it is necessary to transform the body into another as a limb, that is, when relying on the form of other beings, etc., it is implicitly shown. Secondly, the limb of the name is that some say that when generating a conforming mere name and a non-common offense, it is necessary to apply that name and to achieve ultimate accomplishment in it, that is, the scriptures of name transformation show. In our own system, it is said that when generating the offense of establishing a major offense on that later name, it is necessary to apply that later name and to achieve ultimate accomplishment in that name, as the scriptures of name transformation have shown. Secondly, the uncommon limb has four: basis, intention, action, and completion. That is, the basis is the collection of causes that generate the offense, and it becomes the object of conceptualization, and it becomes the basis of action. Intention is the collection of causes that generate the offense, and it becomes the dharma of the mind. Action is the collection of causes that generate the offense, and it is connected to completion. Completion is the ultimate collection of causes of the offense. First, the limb of the basis has two: that which arises from the basis of sentient beings, and that which arises from the basis of non-sentient beings. The first is only that of sentient beings.

There are two types of origins: those arising from a basis and those arising from the individual basis of sentient beings. The first type includes the initial two pārājikas (defeats) and remaining offenses, namely, engaging in impure conduct and emitting semen, which are indicated by the phrase "not limited to these." The second type arises from individual sources. Since the actual nature of offenses caused by non-humans is not specifically established, it is divided into those caused by animals and those caused by humans. The first category includes two types: animals engaging in cultivation and sexual activity, as well as the offense of killing animals, totaling three. Offenses caused by humans are divided into those caused by the general community and those caused by individuals. The first category includes the two pārājikas of killing and stealing. Offenses caused by individuals are further divided into those caused by monks, nuns, the general community of fully ordained individuals, the five groups (of monastics), novice monks alone, heretics, the general community of laypeople, laymen alone, laywomen alone, both (laymen and laywomen), the general community of those not fully ordained, and the general community of nominal individuals, totaling twelve. The first category includes forty-six offenses, such as the offense of striking. The second category includes fourteen offenses, such as the saṃghāvaśeṣa (formal meeting) of urging someone to disrobe. The third category includes three offenses of defamation. The fourth category includes two offenses of concealing and entering villages. The fifth category includes the offense of collecting discarded items. The sixth category includes two offenses of eating in a dwelling and giving food to naked individuals. The seventh category includes twenty-seven offenses, such as begging for clothes. The eighth category includes three offenses, such as residing in the military, and the offense of traveling with thieves, totaling four. The ninth category includes three offenses: teaching Dharma to laywomen, sleeping with women, and traveling with women. The tenth category includes two offenses: residing and standing in a house prepared for sexual activity. The eleventh category includes four offenses: reciting, speaking of bad places, declaring superior human qualities as true, and sleeping with those not fully ordained for more than three nights. The twelfth category includes twelve offenses, such as the pārājika of lying. The second type, arising from a non-sentient basis, is divided into those arising from the elements and those arising from transformations of the elements. The first category includes what some say is the actual nature of offenses caused by wind.
