If one touches a Buddha image without mindfulness, it creates two faults: the fault of not being mindful and the fault of touching a precious object, etc. These should be understood in detail. Regarding the manner of being mindful, for example, when a sick person eats an afternoon meal, one should be mindful of unpleasant sounds. Because the Buddha has allowed it, these things do not have a self or what belongs to self. Remembering that the holder and the dedicator, etc., are also not truly existent. When touching a Tathagata image made of precious jewels, one should remember that this is the body of my teacher, and because it is a need that accords with the Dharma, touching fire, etc., is allowed by the Buddha, so one can be mindful, etc. There are many kinds. Third, regarding the transgression of changing one's intention: The basis is a bhikshu who has offered his intention for a Dharma-abiding action of the Sangha that is characterized by its own nature. Without confusion of consciousness and with the motivation of wanting to change his intention, he begins to speak the words, "I will not offer my intention, or else." Ultimately, upon understanding the meaning, he falls. Fourth, regarding the transgression of sleeping with one who is not fully ordained: The basis is a bhikshu who is not sick or attending to the sick. Without a sinful bhikshu being nearby, or a novice being exhausted by the road, etc., without such causes, without confusion of consciousness, and with the motivation of wanting to sleep with one who is not fully ordained at will. The action is that without interruption by another boundary, in one place within nine and a half cubits, both he and the one not fully ordained lie down and sleep for three consecutive nights. Starting from falling asleep, until that moment of the third night has not passed, he falls. Fifth, regarding the transgression of not abandoning sinful views: The basis is a bhikshu who, like drinking alcohol, etc., the Bhagavan has said are obstacles to heaven and liberation, but he still thinks that even if he practices these, they will not become obstacles. Without confusion of consciousness, presuming himself to be right, with the motivation of wanting to slander. The action is that when he begins to slander, even if the Sangha prevents him with admonishments and the four karmas, ultimately he does not abandon it at the end of the third statement, he falls. Sixth, regarding the transgression of following those who have been abandoned: The basis is a bhikshu, sinful views.

If the Sangha expels an intolerant person from the residence, if the consciousness is not confused, and with the motivation of talking to the expelled person, wanting to sleep, etc., starts to do things like talking together except for illness and things that conform to the Dharma, and finally talks and sleeps with that person, etc., and the last moment of that night has not passed, then he commits a downfall. The seventh, the downfall of causing a Shramanera to disrobe is: As the basis, a Bhikshu, for a Shramanera with wrong views, does not tolerate and makes him disrobe, if not because of illness and taming, etc., in the absence of confused consciousness, and with the motivation of wanting to gather the disrobed person, starts to talk and sleep together, etc., and finally does so with that person, and the last moment of that night has not passed, then he commits a downfall.
