That (Tibetan) is the fifth established as having its own nature, the fifth that depends on other five aggregates, such as the fifth of grasping. If being ten years old and knowing the Vinaya are the same in being the main cause for being a Khenpo (abbot) and the other three, then when learning and not learning, what indicates knowing the Vinaya? It is indicated by being ten years old, because if one is a noble being who is ten years old, then one must know the Vinaya, because they definitely study the Vinaya from the time of receiving full ordination until the age of ten, and just by that, they also become knowledgeable in the Vinaya, and if they are not defiled by transgressions from the time of receiving full ordination until the age of ten, then it is established that they know the Vinaya, and if they are defiled by transgressions, then they will not attain the noble path. In the ṭīkā, there is no fault in this, because it has been said that it is the ten-year-old himself, like this, these two are noble beings, so at the age of ten, they will undoubtedly strive to study the Vinaya. The third has three: the difference between whether the fifth has autonomy or not, the difference between whether the limb has autonomy or not, and the difference between whether the person has autonomy or not. The first has been explained. Its terminology is indicated in the ṭīkā by "In other places, the fifth will only become autonomous." Second, some say that laying the foundation for one's own fifth and becoming a supplement to other fifths is the meaning of a limb having autonomy, such as the limb of the perfect superior. Not laying the foundation for one's own fifth, but becoming a supplement to other fifths is a limb that does not have autonomy, such as the virtuous, learned, diligent, and intelligent. This statement is unreasonable, because relying on the knowledge of the place and the temporary place, and the root and commentary, to establish the terminology of whether a limb has autonomy, but its commentary does not say so, because the ability to constantly abide and arise and the ability to temporarily abide and arise are combined, not as one limb, but as each limb, in the ṭīkā, for the term "place and temporary place," the word "and" is said to indicate that both the place and the temporary place have autonomy. It is indicated that these two limbs, the place and the temporary place, should not be established as one fifth, but as the limb just indicated in the previous sutra.
