There is no difference between them that can be enjoyed, what is allowed in time, and what can be enjoyed after being blessed before the end of a period, what is allowed in a period, and what can be enjoyed within seven days, the medicine blessed for seven days, and what can be enjoyed for a lifetime, the medicine blessed for a lifetime, because there are these. This proves that only the sick should take it, because the latter three medicines are said to be for the blessed ones. In the commentary, it is said that what is allowed in a period is what one blesses and takes before the end of a period. What is called seven days is what one blesses and takes before the end of seven days, whether day or night. What is called enjoying for a lifetime is what one blesses and takes before the end of one's life. Because it has been said like this. The first one that is not allowed in time, the latter three blessed medicines, are for the sick, only the sick can enjoy, the healthy cannot enjoy. The latter three medicines, after being blessed, can only be enjoyed by the sick, this scripture says so. In the sutra of this, it is said: In the Vinaya, monks can enjoy medicines that are allowed in a period, and seven days, and a lifetime, those who have received blessings and those who have been blessed, can those who have not tasted them be fully enjoyed? Can they be approached? Can those who have received blessings and those who have been blessed, those who have tasted them, be fully enjoyed? Can they be approached? Because it has been said like this. The first one is not, then what can be enjoyed by both the sick and the healthy? Roots, that is, apples, and the fruits of fruits, and trees, and Aśvattha (梵文天城體:अश्वत्थी,梵文羅馬擬音:aśvatthī,漢語字面意思:Aśvattha), and Udumbara (梵文天城體:उदुम्बर,梵文羅馬擬音:udumbara,漢語字面意思:Udumbara), and rough pears, and grape juice, and beverages mixed with fruits such as pomegranates, filtered with a filter that can be filtered, can be enjoyed by both the sick and the healthy, morning and evening. Moreover, processed wine becomes salt, and grain wine becomes salt, and yogurt, the clear part of yogurt water, etc.

The essence of fresh produce, and the sour-tasting dregs from pressing without filtering out grains and other residues, soaked in water that can be filtered, becoming very thin, appearing like the tip of a reed stalk, slightly yellowish in color, those too, like it, can be enjoyed by both monks and non-monks at all times. For the sake of enjoying beverages mixed from timely substances, beverages that have been filtered and mixed, then are the beverages that have not been filtered and mixed allowed to be accepted by the monk himself? If beverages mixed from timely substances, soaked in water that can be filtered, things like broth and sediment are right in front of him, touching the beverages that have not been filtered and mixed by a fully ordained monk of the same order, that is, accepting them, is not allowed, because it is unnecessary and has a prohibitive nature. The first point is established, because acceptance disappears after filtering and mixing. The second point is established, because there is a prohibitive nature of becoming a hand-held object. Moreover, the five fruits such as arura and emblic myrobalan, those that have not been blessed, can also be enjoyed by both monks and non-monks at all times. This represents the roots, trunks, fruits, flowers, leaves, and so on that sustain life. Unblessed jaggery can also be enjoyed by both monks and non-monks at all times. This represents other seven-day medicines as well. Is it certain that blessed medicine cannot be enjoyed by non-monks? In special cases, blessed jaggery, when traveling a yojana on the road, and the wages of the disciplinarian and craftsmen, can be enjoyed like a sick person. Moreover, a fasting monk can also eat blessed jaggery. Others can be eaten at inappropriate times, that is, ghee and sesame oil that can be eaten at inappropriate times can also be eaten at appropriate times, as the self-commentary says, "Like a sick person," etc., meaning like a sick person. Therefore, these four people, blessed jaggery and blessed ghee and sesame oil, not only can be eaten at inappropriate times, but also can be eaten at appropriate times. Second, the detailed explanation has five points: suitable amount, seven-day medicine, life-sustaining medicine, the way of relying on timely and untimely, and the previous ritual applies when mixing.
