If it is said like that, it is because it depends on existence. It is not that one is permanently liberated from sins, so it is said. Nowadays, some people think that all three, such as the vows of a layperson, have three kinds of fear-protection, good wishes, and renunciation precepts, although each has three. However, it is not contradictory to the previous scriptures. Although fear-protection and so on are divided into three from the aspect of the motivation at the time of the cause, it is unreasonable to say that the motivation at that time must necessarily have the thought of renunciation. The characteristic of the precept of fear-protection is that it is the precept of fear-protection, which is not reasonable, because it is the precept of renunciation. The reason is admitted, because it is the precept that is firmly motivated by the intention of Nirvana. Furthermore, if the motivation at that time of the vows of a novice and a monk is good, then it must be good. The Abhidharmakosha says, "Between the ten virtues and the mind arise simultaneously." And, in the self-commentary of that, it says, "Taking the vows of a novice and a monk while abiding in a non-virtuous and unspecified mind." And, the Bodhisattvacharyavatara says, "Initially doing good, etc., the subsequent actions also change into three." Because it speaks of the nine situations of the motivation at the time of the cause and at that time. When the causes and conditions for the arising of the novice vows are complete, and when it manifestly tends to arise, for the arising of the form of the novice vows, neither a non-virtuous mind nor an unspecified mind can hinder it, because as it is said in the scripture, "For the complete cause, how can the result be prevented?" Je Tsongkhapa said, "Generally, all seven classes have three kinds of fear-protection and so on, but the first two are not Pratimoksha vows, because they are not held by the intention of Nirvana. The vows of a layperson, etc., that are directly declared in the sutras are also not, because they are not held by the firm intention of renouncing samsara." The pervasion is there, because all the vows directly declared in the sutras are within the category of the precepts of renunciation, because the sutra says "within the category of the precepts of definite renunciation." These previous scriptures are spoken in terms of this action. Fear-protection

Moreover, when both good wishes are seized by the thought of Nirvana, they will be transformed into the discipline of individual liberation and renunciation. As it is said, this is the ultimate intention of the venerable Sakya masters. After taking the lay vows, one should recite the precepts thereafter. The ordination as a novice has two aspects: necessity and summary. The first is: there is a necessity for it, because it gives rise to the vows of a novice, and transforms into a suitable vessel for full ordination, and ultimately leads to the attainment of Nirvana. The second has four aspects: where, with what basis, what object, and how to bestow it. The first is: to the one to be tamed who possesses three perfections. That is, the perfection of body means being seven years old and able to scare away crows, or understanding from the perspective of thought that one is seven years old. The perfection of signs means having shaved hair and beard, etc., abandoning the signs of a householder, and possessing the signs of a renunciate. The perfection of intention means possessing the intention to take vows, knowing that one has obtained them, and the intention of renunciation. These three intentions are necessary for the arising of vows, because a laughing matter will not become anything, as it is said, and because the desire to take vows arises in the object of knowing that one has obtained the vows, just as it does not arise from the object of not knowing that one has obtained them, and because it is spoken from the perspective of the discipline of definite renunciation. The second is: possessing pure full ordination vows, being in accordance with view and name, possessing three names, the body abiding in normalcy, the land abiding in its nature, abiding within the boundary, and being skilled in the ritual of bestowing novice vows. The third is the vows of a novice. The fourth has three parts: the preliminary is: asking about obstacles, and becoming a layperson, and intermediate renunciation. The main part is: composing the words of taking refuge, and saying the words of vowing to become a novice, which is the same as in the case of a layperson. The conclusion is knowing the time and reciting the precepts, the first of which also has two aspects: necessity and summary. The first is: there is a necessity for it, because knowing the time of obtaining the vows, one will then properly show respect and offering to the elder and younger, there is this necessity.

Therefore. The second has four parts: where, by whom, what, and how to speak. The first is immediately after receiving the novice vows. If asked, it contradicts the statement that the precepts should be stated in the manner of promising to observe them. There is no contradiction, because it is said that the three previous vows are taken immediately after the previous ones. The second is that it should be stated by a monk other than the novice preceptor, because one should not get up from the seat in order to measure the shadow before stating the precepts. Third, it is said in the scriptures that the shadow, the division of day and night, the date, the phase of the moon, and the time should be stated. Some practitioners now say that the actual month, the upper, middle, and lower, and the year must be stated. Although it is said that the statement of the year is explained in the novice's question about the year, it is not reasonable, even if the actual month is not stated, the statement according to the scriptures can also understand the old and new of the precepts, and the novice's question about the year only explains the way to calculate the old and new of the year, and does not say a little difference of the time position. Fourth, some people say that it should be stated from the Vinaya Sutra and the Karma Shatam from the fine to the coarse, but it should be stated from the coarse to the fine, because the basic commentary says so, and it is easy to explain and hear from the coarse to the fine, which is unreasonable, because the Sutra says that it should be stated from the fine to the coarse, so there is a fault that the speaker is not smart. The self-sect believes that it should be stated from the fine to the coarse as stated in the Sutra. What is said in the basic commentary is to show the things to be said, not to show the way to say it. Second, the statement of the precepts is easy to understand. That is, at the time of "is the preceptor," etc., there are three differences of the lama, the differences of the lamas, the time of becoming a lama, and the order of calling from the name. First, there are five kinds of preceptors: the preceptor who gives the novice vows, the preceptor who gives secret instructions, the preceptor of the work, the preceptor who gives the residence, and the preceptor who reads. Also, combined with the meaning of the scriptures, the novice is given to the subdued by means of rituals.
