Translate to be recited as "Du." If there is nowhere to go, it will be accomplished by thought, and it can also be maintained by vows. For the author, only faults are generated. Sixth, there are two ways to keep vows: abandoning summer hair, and there is no fault even if it falls out. The first is: without being blessed, do not let the dawn break outside the boundary. From the implication of this sentence, it is shown that for the sake of Dharma-related activities, it is permissible to go after being blessed in summer. So, how many nights can be blessed? Answer: It can be blessed for seven nights, and it must also be inside the boundary, sitting in front of a bhikkhu who possesses the nine qualities of Dharma. Venerable, please listen, I, named so-and-so, in this place including the inner boundary, vowed to stay for three months before or after summer. I, named so-and-so, for the sake of Dharma-related activities, bless seven days to go outside the boundary, and return before that. I am spending the summer here, and this is my summer residence. Answer three times like this, and use good methods. If it is necessary to go outside the boundary within seven days or even forty days, then ask the Sangha for permission for forty days. The Sangha grants permission through prayer and two karmas, and can move freely within forty days. It is not allowed to bless six days on the basis of staying for three months in summer, because the time is too short. The second is: there is no food, medicine, and patient care. If you cannot survive without these, you should leave. As the sutra says: It doesn't matter even if there are obstacles to spiritual practice, life, and pure conduct. Due to circumstances, you can miss two or three Pravarana, and you can perform exclusion and liberation. In short, if you hear that those who have vowed to stay say that bhikkhus are fighting, if you miss two or three Pravarana, you should perform exclusion and liberation. Third, completely practice through exclusion and liberation: Those who stay in summer, for the Sangha, perform exclusion and liberation through seeing, hearing, and doubting. On the last day of all summers. And so on, it is said that in the past, during the summer, do not talk about downfall.

Regarding the prohibited matters, here, when discussing transgressions, it is called "Prohibition Distinction" because it is discussed in a differentiated manner. This is divided into two types: general and specific. The first has five points: place, time, person, ritual, and necessity. The first point is: the place where the summer retreat was vowed, which can be the same place or another place. The second point is: depending on the early or late summer retreat, it can be a day in the middle of autumn or a day in the late autumn. The third point is: all five categories of ordained people, whether or not they have spent the summer retreat. The fourth point is divided into three parts: preparation, main practice, and conclusion. First, from seven days to half a month from the day of the Prohibition Distinction, if someone harbors resentment, then confess and ask for forgiveness, and perform decorations, etc. On a certain day during the daytime, wear the kusha-darbha (Tibetan: རྩྭ་དར་བྷ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: kusha-darbha, Sanskrit Romanization: kusha-darbha, literal Chinese meaning: auspicious grass). After all the Sangha members gather, perform a vigorous prostration, stand and prostrate, saying, "During the summer retreat, please forgive all displeasures." Then sit down, and from the daily confession to reciting the sutras with pure precepts, do as in the Posadha. Afterwards, separate the novices, and if it is necessary to receive the Sangha and complete purification, then receive it, and perform transgression confession, restraint, and blessing. If the severance of activities is completed, then proceed as in the Posadha, and reach a consensus on the place. Second, the main practice is: the Karman master asks the person suitable to be appointed to perform the Bhikshu Prohibition Distinction if they are willing, and appoints them through petition and two karmas. If one person is not capable, then appoint multiple people. After petitioning the karma for performing the Prohibition Distinction, the appointed Bhikshu distributes the tsva-darbha (Tibetan: ཙྭ་དར་བྷ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: tsva-darbha, Sanskrit Romanization: tsva-darbha, literal Chinese meaning: auspicious grass) according to seniority. Then, the other Bhikshus, in groups of three or less, if the appointed person is older, then prostrate and squat, holding the kusha-darbha (Tibetan: རྩྭ་དར་བྷ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: kusha-darbha, Sanskrit Romanization: kusha-darbha, literal Chinese meaning: auspicious grass) with the hands of the local and Karman master, and also slightly pressing with the feet, recite the Prohibition Distinction ritual three times. If there is concern that harm such as illness or fatigue may occur, reciting it twice or once is also sufficient. If the appointed person has other appointed persons, then they perform the Prohibition Distinction with each other. If not, then explain the Prohibition Distinction to the other Bhikshus residing there. Third, the conclusion is: then count the bundles of grass and inform everyone, "In this place, so many Bhikshus have performed the Prohibition Distinction, and it has been performed very completely." Afterwards, the others also say "Good".
