Because it has already been explained without residue. Third, therefore, it is a mistake to combine the two ways of explaining. Therefore, it is a mistake to explain the latter and former ways of explaining the Sutra, respectively, as the expressible fame of things and attachment. Second, one's own view is that, therefore, the former way of explaining cannot be refuted by any fame arising from sound, because there is no reason or inference to establish its opposite, or because it is certain that it has no contradiction. It is harmful to the opposite, because it has no contradiction, so it is shown. The latter way of explaining is to show that the difference in the object of inference from fame and inference from the power of things is different. Because the object of inference is things, and the object of this is fiction. If one knows what is said and what can be said by means of eliminating it as previously said, then the elimination of fame can be accomplished as the wise intend. In the Treasury of Logic, the commentary on the tenth chapter of the examination of self-benefit inference has been explained. Second, for the sake of others' inference, definition, the person of the speaker, and the detailed classification of language in the context of debate. First, the definition of inference for the sake of others is the language that the former debater himself saw, with three aspects, showing the other later debater without verbal errors. Second, there are individual definitions, these forms of victory and defeat, and how the reliant establishes them. First, the person who admits to stating the establisher, admits to stating the refuter, and admits to expressing victory and defeat with that, is the definition of the three, the debater, the later debater, and the reliant, respectively. Second, for the two debaters, the cessation and following occur through stating who has faults and stating merits, that is, without faults. If showing faults and merits in this way, then there is victory and defeat. If the debater correctly states the establisher and the later debater does not state faults, then the later debater loses. If the debater states a seeming establisher and the later debater correctly states the fault, then the debater loses. If it is not like that, even if the debater states a seeming establisher and the later debater does not state a fault, or states a seeming fault, the debater

If one does not know how to pull out thorns from the ground, then in debate, neither side will have victory or defeat, as stated in the Reasoning of Debate. Even if there are faults, it is because one does not know how to establish and refute; the key to victory and defeat lies in whether or not one can destroy the courage of both debaters; even if one deceives and defeats the opponent through tricks such as lies, deception, and abandoning words, it is not considered victory or defeat, because one cannot protect the tenets. The third part includes: In general, the ways of refuting and accepting; specifically, the ways of determining the place of refutation. The first part is: Worldly people believe that taking away life and property, etc., is refutation, and giving status, etc., is acceptance. But in the monasteries of holy wise ones, abandoning wrong tenets, accepting the truth, and proclaiming it as such, is considered refutation and acceptance. The second part includes stating reasonableness and refuting errors. The first part is: The fundamental classification of refutation is twofold, from which four are divided, namely, not stating the limb of establishment to the debater, stating non-limbs, not stating faults to the refuter, and stating non-faults. This is the view of those who are proficient in reasoning, as stated in the Reasoning of Debate: "Not stating the limb of establishment," and so on. The second part includes refuting the views of the people of the Land of Snow and the views of Foot-Eye. The first part is: The people of the Land of Snow believe that when questioning the debater, not answering, stating faults, stating what was not asked, these three; when eliminating faults, not eliminating faults, stating similar answers, stating untimely answers, these three, totaling six. It is the same for the refuter, not asking when questioning, asking inappropriate questions, asking irrelevant questions, these three; when stating faults, not stating faults when appropriate, stating similar faults, stating untimely faults, these three, totaling six. Not distinguishing the witnesses, distinguishing them in reverse, not making timely distinctions, these three. In general, not listening, this one, totaling sixteen. This is unreasonable, if it is refutation, then it is included in the previous two or four, and if it is not included there, then it is not refutation itself. Moreover, for witnesses, there is no refutation, if there must be
