However, this is none other than inference based on the sign of the effect that infers the state of affairs from words. Since it cannot be directly established in a way that can be expressed in words, it is not appropriate to negate the obvious fame of the direct. The second part has four points. First, if the negation of the direct is explained, then the contradiction that can actually eliminate itself in the mere commitment is established by the power of experience, which is the characteristic of the negation of the direct. Second, the negation of inference is that if the contradiction that can actually eliminate itself in the mere commitment is established by the three modes of the power of things entering, then it is the negation of inference based on the sign of the power of things entering. Third, regarding the negation of intention, there are three points: definition, classification, and examination of the meaning of these. The first point is that the contradiction that can actually eliminate itself in the mere commitment is established by the words of belief, which is the characteristic of the negation of acceptance. The second point is that if it is divided, as stated in the 'Door of Reasoning,' there are two types: the negation of acceptance and the negation of one's own words. The third point includes: the difference between scripture and one's own words, and if it contradicts this, the commitment is destroyed, so it becomes a speech defect for others. The first point also has three points, first examining the views of the earlier scholars. Other earlier scholars say that the difference between the two is that it contradicts the believable scripture and contradicts the words of the debater himself. Second, explaining the teacher's intention is how it becomes a distinction of speech, and a detailed examination of contradicting the scripture. The first point is that the teacher considers these two to be distinctions of the debater's own speech, because he said, 'distinctions of speech.' Among them, the first is that the previously committed and the later expressed contradict each other, such as committing earlier and then expressing it as divination. The latter is that if the meaning of the commitment itself is measured, there will be a contradiction, such as when saying 'inference is not valid cognition,' denying all measurable things, but the measurable things expressed by the word 'inference' itself are accepted, so it contradicts the previous one, so the measurable latter becomes the negation of one's own words. In the 'Compendium,' one example is used to show that both are valid cognitions without measurable meaning, which are examples of partial representation and complete clarity respectively. In the 'Door of Reasoning,' for contradicting the scripture, other examples of complete clarity are spoken.

It is said that Dharma does not give happiness after death. Secondly, special scriptures are included in inference, and ordinary scriptures are the same as their own words. First, the first two objects to be measured are shown as what is to be said, the same as the first two valid cognitions. For the meaning of the eon, which is extremely obscure, the scripture or canon that is not harmed by its own contradictory words is our scripture. Relying on it, the wisdom that understands the meaning of what is said is summarized in inference and spoken, such as trustworthy words are not deceptive, etc. Second, therefore, the scripture established by desire, direct perception, and reasoning is the valid scripture, so it is the harmer that eliminates the wrong side. If it is not established by reasoning, it is said to be only the obstacle to the wrong side. Although it is agreed to and contradicts it, it is not a harmer because its own words contradict each other and their strengths are equal. Anything that is called a scripture is not a valid scripture, and what is established by the valid cognition of desire is the valid scripture. The way to enter the scripture is also that it is foolish to examine the meaning after promising the scripture first. It is the way of the wise to examine first and then promise later. This is the verse in between. Third, refuting disputes, abandoning what is the same as other scriptures, and abandoning the dispute that obstacles do not turn into the fault of what is to be established. First, the other scriptures contradict the Vedas, which show that bathing can purify sins. Will it also turn into a contradiction with the scriptures? No, because attachment and other non-dharmas are the root of sins, and those who regard the cutting off of attachment as dharma are not explained by the debaters of other schools. Because bathing and the causes of sins such as attachment do not contradict each other, such scriptures that show that bathing can purify sins are not scriptures. Second, if the contradiction between one's own words and treatises is not a sectarian fault, it is only because the two have created obstacles that only a little doubt arises about what is to be established, and the doubter is the faultless nature of what is to be established? No, it is not a fault in the way that the mutual obstacles of words give rise to doubt, but it is established as a fault in the way that the mutual obstacles of words do not establish what is to be established. Second, the proposition is to show one's own intention, and it must be free from contradiction with it. If the contradiction of one's own scripture gathers in one place, it is a bad poison.
