Now, sound is the result of impermanence, because it arises immediately after effort. Secondly, it is not suitable as a permanent result, if the sound known by hearing is a permanent result, then it should be heard even before effort, because permanence is unchanging. If admitted, then it contradicts arising immediately after effort. Thirdly, avoiding the same situation for oneself is, then according to your own view, is it also contradictory that the clinging consciousness of the vase is obscured by walls, etc.? This argument is not the same, if it is believed that the permanent vase is obscured by conditions, that is true, but the impermanent vase becomes the cause of consciousness because of conditions, so there is no contradiction. Fourthly, for unchanging things, that is not the same, we also think so, if you say so, then such changes caused by conditions are not suitable for knowledge, because there is no change. The second is, if the third situation that is not clearly pointed out in the correct situation is distinguished by the difference of combination, then those reversals themselves are contradictory, so the contradiction will also become three kinds. The second part has three points, the first is to refute the views of others, some logicians rely on what the teacher said, that is because sometimes it is done from the perspective of dharma, sometimes from the perspective of the possessor of dharma, and sometimes from the perspective of their differences, so it is defined by it, thus distinguishing four contradictions by negating the nature of dharma and the possessor of dharma and the difference between the two, that is, negating the nature of the possessor of dharma means that pervasion is established on the characteristics of the possessor of dharma, and it contradicts the nature, so it becomes a universal counterexample of collective meaning. The example is: space that has become a real thing, is the possessor of dharma, is permanent, because it is not made. It is unreasonable to say that, if the nature of the possessor of dharma is negated, then pervasion will not be established. If pervasion is established, then the possessor of dharma will not be negated, if the space to be proved exists in the real thing, then it will become negating the nature of dharma. The second is the view of one's own school, generally there are four contradictions, some are directly expressing contradictions, some are becoming contradictions in the meaning of expression, some are expressing dharma, and some are expressing the contradiction of the possessor of dharma. Those are also distinguished by the power of the intention to express, but not by the different combinations of meanings. The examples are in order: the impermanent sound is permanent, permanence is the author, eyes etc.

The so-called "acting for the benefit of others" is like saying "acting for the benefit of others, such as the eyes." Third, refuting arguments: If it is said that for "truth," it is also necessary to distinguish between directly establishing, indirectly establishing, and establishing dharma and the possessor of dharma, then it is the same. If you distinguish, there is no fault. Because the effect is small, the middle way is adopted, and it is not directly distinguished. As it says in the Compendium of Valid Cognition: "Like contradiction in reason, why say they are not one? Who prevents the distinction in them?" This is what it says. The third is: On top of the two divided by relation, the Samkhyas say that the eyes and other dharmas are acting for the benefit of others, because they are aggregates, so establishing the benefit of others will become the third contradiction. If it is thought that considering the establishment of self-interest, the contradiction of establishing the benefit of others, etc., the third contradiction is not allowed here. Because the intention and what is said are the same in what is to be established, they are included in the former. Third, thinking about the certainty of those, there are two types: the certainty of excluding the extreme and the certainty of the ability of those. The first is: In the way of determining the exclusion of other extremes, all the establishments as reasons are determined to be four types. Among the two types of establishment and non-establishment of the property of the subject of the reason, if it is not established, it appears like a non-existent reason. The established ones have three types: the determination of establishing the established, the determination of excluding, and the determination of neither. They are, in order, truth, contradiction, and uncertainty. The second is: The four that are established as reasons also have four types of abilities. The first cannot even create doubt on the subject of dharma. The fourth creates doubt, the third creates an unwanted determination, and the second creates a desired determination. As the crown jewel of the wise says: "Powerless in all directions, only generating hesitation and non-desire, it can generate the definite understanding of what is desired." That's how it is said. Second, on the established object known by the reason, establish the definition, determine the instance, and state the elimination of harm to the subject. First, for the elimination aspect of the definition, it is shown as five types. For the aspect of pervasive elimination, it is established as one type. Refute the arguments against those. The first is: The sutra says that the general established truth and the branch's established truth of benefiting others have five characteristics. For what the opponent who is the reason does not acknowledge, it is necessary to establish one's own face in front of them.
