It is also unreasonable to say "earth," because the root consciousness meets with the nature of all objects, it would be the fault of all discriminations. The Vaibhashikas say that among the six meanings of words, the apprehension of characteristics such as qualities is valid cognition, and the knowledge of characteristics, which is the cognition of substances, is considered the result. As they say, "From seeing qualities, one comes to know substances." This is also unreasonable, because if the object of the valid cognition and the result are different, then measuring qualities cannot lead to the cognition of substances, just as measuring blue cannot lead to the cognition of yellow. Some, namely the Vaibhashikas, consider the sense faculty itself with its basis as valid cognition by establishing the object, and the knowledge arising from it as the result. As they say, "The eye sees forms with a basis." This is also unreasonable, because the sense faculties alone have no nearness or distance in cognizing individual objects, and matter cannot cognize objects. Second, identifying one's own valid cognition and result, because the valid cognition and result of the producer and the produced are unreasonable, therefore, as will be explained below, they consider the result to be established as the result itself, and the cause of establishing as the valid cognition itself, even though it is not the agent itself, but because of its power, it is established. As it is said. Third, combining it with the four philosophical schools, for the establisher itself, the establishment of valid cognition and result, or for those who have four kinds of direct perception, the establishment of the valid cognition and result of self-awareness, the four philosophical schools that will appear below mostly say that these three are the same, that is, knowledge itself is the object to be measured, merely arising experience is valid cognition, and the name of self-awareness is the result, such as feelings like desire. As it is said. However, the valid cognition and result of object-consciousness are not the same, the valid cognition and result of object-consciousness, these four philosophical schools establish each separately by the power of their different philosophical schools, that is, the Vaibhashikas, the real objects of form, etc., that appear in contact are the objects to be measured, seeing the object is valid cognition, and the name of knowing the object is the result, therefore, the object to be measured and the valid cognition and result are considered to be different entities and simultaneous. The Sautrantikas consider the hidden object as the object to be measured, the knowledge arising similar to the object is valid cognition, and the name of knowing the object is the result, therefore, the object to be measured and the valid cognition and result are different in time and nature. According to the Mind-Only school, as it is said: The grasped and the grasper are all consciousness.
