Third, because the higher realm arises from the immovable. That itself. "If there is self, then one knows others," it is said. Second, the sense bases such as the dying eye of this life are taken as the immediately preceding condition, and the mind is the simultaneous condition, from which other sense bases, such as the eye of the next life, arise, and the dying mind is the immediately preceding condition, and the faculties are the simultaneous condition, from which the consciousness of the next life arises. Both of these are caused by karma as the dominant condition, which creates the difference between good and bad. Because, the five sense bases of this life itself, it is said. Second, there are two types: suppressing one side and completely eradicating everything. The first is that love, etc., as an antidote to hatred, can only suppress one side or delay it slightly, but cannot cut off the root of samsara. Because it does not contradict the cause of self-grasping. Moreover, "Love, etc., do not contradict ignorance," it is said. The second is that selflessness is the opposite of self and the object of harm and the harmer, like permanence and impermanence or heat and cold. Therefore, seeing selflessness refutes self-grasping, thereby liberating from the arising of results. "Because the view of emptiness is contrary to it," it is said. Third, there are refutations of objections to this, divided into refuting objections to the cause of birth and the antidote. The first, the explanation says three things, which are clear. The second is divided into two, the first is clear in the explanation, and the second is the refutation of the objection that if there is nirvana, the basis will not be stable. If one abandons the innate self-grasping and does not take rebirth, then the stability of the basis cannot be established. If it is said that the seed does not have a beginning, but when it is burned by fire, the end can be seen, and if it is not burned and the favorable conditions are complete and the unfavorable conditions are absent, then the future fruit will definitely arise. Similarly, although samsara has no beginning, when the seed of self-grasping is burned by the fire of seeing selflessness, the end of samsara will be achieved. If the favorable conditions of craving are complete and there are no unfavorable conditions of emptiness, then the future rebirth will definitely arise. Therefore, until emptiness is directly realized, the stability of the basis is sufficient. If, even after realizing emptiness, the basis for taking future rebirth is stable, then the continuum of samsara will not be cut off, and the practice of the path will be meaningless. Second, arguing for the clarity of non-self-grasping without end.

In short, the mind at the time of death, the clarity of the mind will definitely produce the next life, because producing it has complete causes and no obstacles, because it does not need causes other than the mind that become sudden defilements, and there are no obstacles like the ego-grasping of selflessness. Therefore, whatever is without obstacles and does not depend on other causes will definitely produce the fruit of the next life, just like a seed without obstacles and with complete aggregates. The clarity of the mind also has no obstacles and does not depend on other causes than clarity, which can be understood naturally. Second, habituation naturally becomes special, and third, meditating on it is accomplished by self-awareness. Second, establishing pervasion: pervasion is established by seeing that clear appearances arise from habituation of examples, desires, fears, etc. Second, establishing characteristics: because there is no appearance of grasper and grasped through meditation, it is established as unerring, and if it is free from error, then it is also actually free from conceptualization. Third, refuting the unreasonableness of the established meaning, there are two types: refuting the unreasonableness of abandonment and realization and the perfection of wisdom. The first is: Some non-Buddhists believe that there is no liberation of complete abandonment and realization, because defilement is the nature of the mind, so it cannot be abandoned, and even if it can be abandoned, ordinary people cannot know the method of abandonment, and even if they know it, abandoning it once will relapse like dirt on the body, so abandonment is not stable. Answer: Liberation from abandoning faults is reasonable, why? Because defilement is sudden, so it is not the nature of the mind, because the nature of the mind is luminosity. Moreover, the cause of afflictions is ego-grasping, and there is a method of selflessness that contradicts it. Moreover, abandoning the cause itself will not relapse, just like a flame with exhausted firewood, it cannot produce fruit. The second is divided into: refuting unreasonable habituation, and refuting the impossibility of omniscience. The first is: Using three metaphors to illustrate that it is impossible for compassion and wisdom, etc., to increase endlessly through habituation, just like the habituation of jumping, although it increases slightly, it will not increase infinitely, and just like water will not burn no matter how much it is heated, it is possible to slightly realize emptiness, compassion, etc., through habituation, but it is impossible to continuously be in that state. Also, like a golden bow, it becomes hard when it is separated from the fire, just like many
