And, by the power of conventionally establishing the sound of the signified as a single term, the illusion of self-nature arises, so these two are considered the same. Through the power of self-awareness experiencing it, the relationship between name and signified is established. The relationship between name and signified is: it is established by the wise directly seeing the name and by recalling the term. As it is said (in the scriptures): "Through great wisdom to see." For the ignorant, recalling the term requires inferential reasoning to establish the term, as it is said (in the scriptures): "Even if the place exists, the ignorant are here." Third, there are two ways: how to indicate and the structure of mutual determination. The first is the classification of combinations. There are two refutations to that. The first is: for these three dharmas, general and specific combinations belong to the indication combinations here, two each, totaling six, which are respectively the collection of Nok etc., the term for cow, and taking the three of white etc. as the basis of the name, universally indicating the three of name, signified, and basis. Specific combinations belong to the indication of the three of name, signified, and basis here, totaling six, these are correct. From the opposite of these, there are also six indication combinations for indicating what is not: taking the term for cow and white etc. as the basis of the name, universally indicating non-name, and two specific combinations belonging to the indication of non-name here. Similarly, taking the collection of Nok etc. and white etc. as the basis of the name, universally indicating non-signified, and two specific combinations belonging to the indication of non-signified here. Taking the collection of Nok etc. and the term for cow as the basis of the name, universally indicating non-name-basis, and two specific combinations belonging to the indication of non-name-basis here, totaling six. Among these, four are without error, and the two aspects of indicating non-name and non-name-basis may have errors. Because using white etc. to indicate a piebald cow is without error, and it is impossible not to be suitable as a name-basis at the appropriate time. Therefore, connecting "without error" and "may" separately seems to be in the commentary, but the eyes have not seen it, and because the combination of one's own wisdom is not understood, do not pierce the stainless words with the dirt of erroneous conceptions. Second, the refutation of the way of indicating self-reflexivity, for the way of indicating non-other-reflexivity...

Refuting arguments. Exemplifying the combination of contradiction and similarity. The first case: Taking "Nok, Lek, Sha" as the basis, if the definition of a cow belonging to this combination is used to represent the meaning reversal of cutting off its direct contradiction, then, if that definition contradicts both the basis "Garsa" and the term of the represented cow, then for that basis "Nok, Lek, Sha," it will become contradictory. If the meaning reversal of cutting off the direct contradiction of the definition also contradicts, but the basis "Nok, Lek, Sha" does not contradict, then the definition will not pervade the basis. If it does not pervade, then it will be too broad, because these two are not the basis of a cow, as Chapha said. The meaning reversal of cutting off the direct contradiction of a cow pervades the meaning reversal of a cow and "Garsa," because the meaning reversal is the same. Therefore, there is no fault of not pervading the basis. It does not pervade its own reversal, because its own reversal is different. Therefore, there is no fault of being too broad. The second case: Is the non-represented a represented or not? If it is, then because the definition of the represented is blocked, the representation is contradictory, just as blocking "Leksha" represents a cow. If not, then it will become independent of the cause of separate establishment, if challenged. Then this argument has no fault, because the non-represented is the basis of the represented, not its own reversal. For example, a phenomenon, is not to be established, because in the absence of an established exclusion, it does not possess the desire to measure, if established in this way. Then, because the term of the non-to-be-established is the basis of the to-be-established, it depends on the reason, and because it is not its own reversal of the to-be-established, blocking the definition does not contradict the establishment, as in the above example. Furthermore, if the sound consciousness of generally having a reason is blocked for "Nok, Lek, Sha," then it is also blocked for its own reversal of the definition, and for its own reversal of blocking the definition of the represented, the sound consciousness of the represented is also blocked. Therefore, all the terms of the definition and the terms of the non-represented will all become contradictory. If it is not contradictory, then the definition of the represented will be too broad, because it itself is the definition of the represented, if challenged. Then this argument has no fault, because the meaning reversal of "Nok, Lek, Sha," which is the definition, but the definition of the represented is not contradictory, therefore the term will not be interrupted, and because it contradicts its own reversal, it is not too broad. Furthermore, if the non-represented is the basis of the represented, then the direct contradiction of a thing, the non-thing, also represents the thing
