Because it is prevented by two kinds of rational knowledge. This is called the concluding verse. Secondly, refuting the inappropriateness of the refutation: If all direct perceptions only engage with each individual moment of their respective object substances, then for ordinary beings, there would be no valid direct perception, is that so? No, the direct perception of ordinary beings does not engage with individual atoms that are not distinct, but engages with those that are distinct, that is, it engages with the distinct objects of many atoms gathered together, and all the consciousnesses of experience generated by the collection of as many moments as there are of the previous faculties and mental activities are the direct perception of ordinary beings. Moreover, all of these are valid cognitions, because they are non-conceptual, non-erroneous awareness. Therefore, when it is said that it focuses on the accumulation of atoms, it also refers to this. Secondly, if one establishes different types of minds based on a slight distinction of non-valid clarity, then all the definite numbers of valid and non-valid cognitions, as well as correct and seemingly correct reasons, as asserted by the teacher, will be destroyed, because one establishes different general types based on a slight distinction within the category. This is pervasive, because all numerical distinctions are made by distinctions of kind, and all internal distinctions belong to the category of numerical distinctions, as asserted by scholars such as the two teachers. Secondly, in one's own system, there are general characteristics, numerical divisions, and individual establishments. The first is that knowledge that is not deceptive and not established is the characteristic of non-valid minds. The second is ignorance, misinterpretation, and doubt. There are three types of non-valid minds that are the opposite of valid minds, and this is divided from the perspective of the way they engage. If all three are collected from the perspective of their essence, they are all included in the single mind that does not understand its own object. It is not correct to say that it is the mind of non-understanding divided into three, because if it were, it would have become an internal distinction, which contradicts what was said about the numerical distinction, because it was said, "However many numerical distinctions there are," and so on. Otherwise, if the literal meaning is as it is, then previously all minds were self-aware, and later the two valid cognitions were also said to be self-aware, so all knowledge would contradictorily become self-aware. Therefore, these three are beneficial.

I think that only those who have completely cut off (wrong views) like me can match (my) wisdom. Like this, the three non-valid cognitions and the three contradictory reasons are actually one key point of reasoning. As it is said, "Being powerless in the subject, it generates doubt, and accomplishes the undesired." Just as an unestablished (reason) is powerless to establish (the thesis), non-realization is powerless to engage in anything. Just as uncertainty gives rise to doubt, doubt also suspects other aspects. Just as a contradictory (reason) accomplishes the undesired, wrong discrimination also realizes what is not that. Just as a correct reason accomplishes the desired meaning, a valid cognition also realizes the true meaning. Therefore, there are four ways of establishing a reason, one without fault, and it is impossible to have three faults. Similarly, there are four ways in which consciousness engages, one is valid cognition, so there are only three non-valid cognitions. The third (non-valid cognition) has three types, the first of which has two types. The definition of the first type is: realizing the true meaning, and taking what is not that as that, or clinging to both extremes, except for the consciousness of emptiness, all are definitions of consciousness. The second classification has three types: for a certain object, not entering at all, so there is no realization, that is, the mind does not turn towards that object, such as the consciousness that clings to the three characteristics of existence in the mindstream of someone who does not understand the principles of logic. After entering, the act of searching is not completed, so there is no realization, such as the consciousness that re-examines when asked whether sound is permanent or impermanent. The act of searching has been completed, but because it has not been found, there is no realization, that is, even after thinking, it does not appear in consciousness. This has three situations: the first, because there is no object to be realized, there is no realization, such as decisive cognition. The second, because the cognizing consciousness is disturbed, there is no realization, such as the momentariness of sound for the Samkhyas. The third, because it is not an object of knowledge, there is no realization, such as the conceptual thought that clings to the objects of kalpas by time and nature. The definition of the second type (wrong cognition) is: for its own object, either clinging to one extreme, or clinging to the appearance as not that, through the object and the subject, in a direct or indirect way, the consciousness that harms, is the definition of wrong cognition. From the perspective of type, there are two types: conceptual and non-conceptual wrong cognition. From the perspective of internal distinction, there are five types: the first, mistaking a rope for a snake.
