It is said to arise from dhīḥ (藏文,梵文天城体:धी,梵文罗马拟音:dhīḥ,汉语字面意思:Wisdom), but the mantra for giving is not mentioned. This is because after the profound Dharma has been taught, when the disciple is laid down in the mandala room, the master blesses them by placing kusha grass as a pillow and cushion. Nowadays, it seems that the practice is done according to the oral tradition. The Black Practitioner said that, as it is said, the short kusha grass chanted with dhīḥ (藏文,梵文天城体:धी,梵文罗马拟音:dhīḥ,汉语字面意思:Wisdom) is given to the right hand, and the long kusha grass chanted with ha (藏文,梵文天城体:ह,梵文罗马拟音:ha,汉语字面意思:Ha) is given to the left hand. Similarly, in the empowerment water, the short kusha grass chanted with the letter dhīḥ (藏文,梵文天城体:धी,梵文罗马拟音:dhīḥ,汉语字面意思:Wisdom) is given to the right hand as a pillow, and the long one chanted with the letter ha (藏文,梵文天城体:ह,梵文罗马拟音:ha,汉语字面意思:Ha) is given to the left hand as a cushion. This means that first it is given to the right and left hands, and then the disciple himself lays out the cushion and pillow. Although the generation stage is not explicitly mentioned here, in practice, it is generated from hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) from the state of cleansing, purification, and emptiness. Thirdly, in the "Bhadra Carya Pranidhana Raja," it says: "For the sake of protection, on the thread, recite the mantra of swirling nectar. Then make three knots, and tie it on the disciple's right arm." And in the "Ratnolka Dharani," it says: "The protection cord recited with the mantra of swirling nectar, place it on the right arm." Although it is said to be placed on the right arm without distinguishing between male and female, Jetsun Tsemö said that in the empowerment water of the Ḍombi tradition, it is placed on the left arm. The Black Practitioner said that the cord chanted with the letter hūṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ), with three knots, is tied on the arm, without distinguishing between right and left. In the mandala ritual of the Guhyasamaja Arya tradition, it is said to be tied on the right arm of men and the left arm of women. There are also many statements to the contrary in the Ocean-Born Vajra and the oral tradition's mandala rituals. The necessity of these is to protect against obstacles to the channels. For men, obstacles to the white element are most important, so it is mostly tied on the left; for women, obstacles to the red element are most important, so it is mostly tied on the right. But there may be exceptions, so it is also said to tie it in reverse. In short, whether it is tied on the right or left for men or women, it should be understood that there is no contradiction. The material of the protection cord is made of cotton, wool, etc., and it is said to be about the size of the disciple's body, meaning it is the same as the disciple's body, so it is four and a half cubits. Here ends.

Furthermore, it is specifically stated that (the string) becomes four cubits long, symbolizing the square shape that represents the absence of inequality in the body. Making it threefold is to symbolize the interdependence of the student's body, speech, and mind, which are the basis for practice, and tying three vajra knots is to protect against the three obstacles of body, speech, and mind. Making it red symbolizes that the teacher possesses great compassion and is strongly attached to the student's benefit. When binding, making two rounds symbolizes day and night, or protecting against inner and outer obstacles. Some practitioners first braid the threefold string and then cut it to a suitable length, which is unreasonable because it will damage the interdependence of body, speech, and mind. Then, (the scripture says) in the empowerment water, the end of the red protection cord should match the student's body size, or be slightly longer, and the length should be equal to the number of students, making it into a tassel. Isn't this contradictory? It is not contradictory because a careful analysis of the statement itself makes it clear. When the teacher recites the protection wheel, he should tie a vajra knot in the middle and on the left and right sides of the protection cord. If it is Chakrasamvara or other deities, then tie the knot when reciting the main deity's mantra, or in other situations, recite Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽) with the pride of the deity and tie the knot. When giving it, place it between the palms, without conceptualizing, visualize a string arising from Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: 吽) from the state of emptiness, and with the light of the seed syllable in one's own heart, invite the wisdom string from the hearts of all the Sugatas, the deities of preparation, and dissolve it into the string. Recite the root mantra and hold it with both hands. It is said that the hundred-syllable mantra arising from Vajrasattva (Tibetan: གུར, to be verified) should be recited. In the two mandala rituals, it is said that it is bound by the mantra of all activities. Fourth, explaining the meaning of the sentences such as "In the world, all-knowing ones" that appear in the Manifest Enlightenment of Maitreya, this is divided into three aspects: showing that it is difficult to obtain through metaphors, showing that even if it is difficult to obtain, it has great benefits, and therefore advising to generate joy. First, there is one and a half verses. On this, Jetsun Tsemoche said: Its meaning is this: What is rare in the world? The appearance of a Buddha is rare, like the Udumbara flower. Moreover, when one Buddha appears in the world, it is like one Udumbara flower.
