Those who explain, first the seed syllable, second the hand gesture, third contemplate marked by the seed syllable, this is not clear in the mandala rituals. When meditating on the Mind Vajra etc., it will be touched even four times. This is mainly to protect the previous bodhicitta. In the empowerment water, in order to prevent obstacles from arising in the generation of bodhicitta, it is protected by mantra, generated as a deity, and blessed, etc. In the Black Hevajra Mandala Ritual it says: "Then in order to protect the bodhicitta itself." In the Jewel Burning Sutra it says: "Then the lama will bodhicitta, generate the ungenerated, cause the generated to remember again, protect it with all actions." Therefore, in the Well-Grasped, it only says to contemplate a five-pronged vajra in the heart, a multi-colored vajra on the crown of the head, and a lotus in the throat. The two cases of generating from the seed syllable and being marked by the seed syllable are not visible. In the Jewel Burning Sutra it says: "In the heart, secret place, crown of the head, vajra, lotus, wheel, from ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽), ཨཱཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 阿), ཨོཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 嗡) generate those, incense water, vajra, fist, touch the heart, secret place, crown of the head, likewise recite ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽), ཨཱཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 阿), ཨོཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 嗡)." It only says to touch from bottom to top. In the Black School's treatise, with ཨོཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 嗡), ཨཱཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 阿), ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽), contemplate the earth-goers, sky-goers, and selflessness-mothers in the crown of the head, throat, and heart, when touching, it only says to touch from bottom to top. These are to protect the previous bodhicitta, planting the seeds of the three vajras, therefore it is planting the seeds of the mantra vows with special meaning. To make offerings to this is: In the Well-Grasped Mandala Ritual, it only says, "Then after offering with flowers, incense, etc., let them sit down." But in the Jewel Burning Sutra and the Black School's Treatise Commentary it says: "Offer flowers on the crown of the head, burn incense in front, lamp and fragrance in the heart, after reciting all actions, give it to the disciples with respect." On top of the four types of offerings, Venerable Jetsun says that food should be offered in both empowerment waters. The great accomplished SaraHa in the Buddha Skull Mandala Ritual to that

It is also said that music is offered on top of it. Third, there are two ways to examine the signs of accomplishment: examining through the tooth stick and examining through dreams. The first has four points: the basis of where to discard, the object to be discarded, the way of how to discard, and the way of examining the signs from it. The first point is: From the "Excellent Collection": "In the amount of a cowhide, it is best to discard it on the ground." Also, in the "Jewel Flame" it says: "Apply it to the size of a cowhide and discard it, showing peacefulness and other accomplishments." Also, the Black Practitioner said: "Apply a mandala the size of a cowhide and discard it straight, facing east." And so on, in many rituals, the size of a cowhide is mentioned. Buton explains this in terms of width. And the ancients have explanations in terms of both height and width. But in the "Water of Empowerment", it is explained as one cubit square in width, and in height, it is applied by mixing five kinds of fragrant water, which seems to be the view of the scripture, which is in accordance with the Black Practitioner's saying that it is applied to the mandala. The statements that one, five, and nine bouquets of flowers are placed there are to avoid confusing directions, so there is no contradiction to any statement. The second point is: From the "Jewel Flame": "The tooth stick of Ashvattha and Udumbara, twelve fingers long, without bending, damage, or insects, offer the top with flowers." Or, if such materials are not available, as stated in the "Water of Empowerment", use soft, straight trees such as willow, without losing their luster. The third point is that the Black Practitioner said to discard it facing east, while the "Excellent Collection" says to face north, but the "Jewel Flame" says: "Place it facing east or north." The two "Waters of Empowerment" also say so. When entrusting it to the disciple, the master blesses it with the root mantra, and then recites "Om Ah Jiha Vajra Sambara Tana Ni Hum (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཛི་ཧ་བཛྲ་སཾ་བ་ར་ཏ་ན་ནི་ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओṃ आः जिह वज्र संवर तान नि हुṃ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ jiha vajra saṃvara tāna ni hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡 阿 舌 金刚 秘密 给予 尼 吽)" and has the disciple hold it between the palms of their hands. Visualize this as being made of jewels, gold, or silver. Gently bite it with your teeth, as if chewing. Visualize that you are expelling all your sins and obscurations, just as a skilled doctor administers an emetic. Open your palms in the center and discard it, saying this. Do it like that. The fourth point is, "Jewel".
