The limbs of empowerment are five: invoking the deities of empowerment, offering and supplicating, the actual empowerment, sealing by the lineage lord, and taking pride in the meaning of empowerment. First, the root tantra says: Visualize the seed syllable in your heart. From the seed syllable, emanate black rays of light in the form of an iron hook, and with it, invite all the Buddhas residing in the three realms. The basis for invocation, as stated, is the seed syllable in one's heart, that is, the seed syllables of each lineage. From it, emanate black rays of light, with a curved tip, in the form of an iron hook. What is being invoked is all the Buddhas residing in the three realms. In the commentaries, the texts of the tradition only mention all the Buddhas and all the Tathagatas, but the great accomplished one, Padmasambhava, said: With the collection of rays of light emanating from one's own body, the Tathagatas, Bodhisattvas, Vidyadharas, goddesses, wrathful deities, and so forth, possess empowerments filled with the five amritas. Similarly, the venerable brothers also invoked the mandala that truly and completely contains the three places: the five lineages, the four mothers, the eight great Bodhisattvas, the ten wrathful deities, and the six goddesses. Second, the root tantra says: After the eight mothers have made perfect offerings, one should supplicate. The meaning of Oṃ Abhiṣiñcatu Māṃ Sarva Tathāgata (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is that after the eight mothers have made perfect offerings to the invoked mandala, the meaning of the mantra for supplicating for empowerment is: I beseech all the Tathagatas to bestow upon me the supreme empowerment, which is a condensed meaning. In detail, one supplicates with: O Bhagavan, all Tathagatas, O Bhagavan, great lords, O compassionate ones, please grant me empowerment. Third, the root tantra says: Those Buddhas, in the form of Heruka, with the nature of the five Tathagatas, should empower with vases filled with the five amritas. During the empowerment, a rain of flowers will fall, the sound of drums will arise, a rain of saffron water will fall, and Rupavajra and so forth.

The assemblies should make offerings. Vajra songs and the like should be sung. After praying in this way, the five Tathāgata families transform into the form of Heruka. As the Kumudatīra says, "Having made the form of Heruka," that is, those adorned with eight faces, four legs, and sixteen hands. Thus also said the venerable Tsemö. Such sixteen hands, instead of skullcups, hold vases filled entirely with the water of the five amṛtas, as the Gur says: "Akṣobhya is vajra water, Vairocana is said to be urine, Amitābha is semen, Ratnasambhava is called blood, and Amoghasiddhi is great flesh." Pouring from the crown of the head, and saying, "The Buddhas all arise from the place of the three secrets, revered by all three realms, bestow the great vajra empowerment," thus empowers. At that time, the four mothers sing the vajra song, the bodhisattvas recite auspicious verses, the goddesses make offerings, and the wrathful ones are thought to dispel obstacles. Here, in the texts of the commentary tradition, it is only said that by empowering in this way, the entire body is filled, impurities are purified, and the lineage lord is increased. However, in the oral tradition, it is said that the four empowerments are received from a single stream of bodhicitta. The venerable Rinpoche said: "By filling up to the space between the eyebrows with the stream of bodhicitta, one obtains the vajra master empowerment, the impurities of the body are purified, and one has the authority to meditate on the form of the generation stage. Its ultimate purity is the six ornaments. Therefore, the crown chakra is Akṣobhya, the earrings are by nature Amitābha, the necklace is Ratnasambhava, the bracelets are Vairocana, Amoghasiddhi resides at the belt, and the lord Vajradhara is on all the limbs." Thinking in this way, one thinks that one is the great Vajradhara holding a vajra for the sake of dusting and offering. Again, by filling up to the throat with the stream of empowerment, one obtains the secret empowerment, the impurities of speech are purified, and one has the authority to meditate on the stage of self-blessing. Its ultimate is the increase of the four wheels. Therefore, in the center of the navel emanation wheel, with sixty-four petals, there is the mudra of action with the syllable (Tibetan: ཨོཾ,Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ,IAST: oṃ,Literal Meaning: Om), the heart
