Within are situated the eight great charnel grounds: to the east, the Fierce and Violent Charnel Ground; to the south, the Terrifying Skull-Bearing Ground; to the west, the Tumultuous Blazing Garland Ground; to the north, the Dense and Thicket-Filled Ground; to the northeast, the Violently Laughing Ground; to the southeast, the Forest of Mastery; to the southwest, the Terrifying Darkness Ground; and to the northwest, the charnel ground resounding with the sound of Kili Kila. The eight great trees that are in those places are: to the east, the Shirisha tree; to the south, the Mango tree; to the west, the Kamkala tree; to the north, the Ashvattha tree; to the northeast, the Great Tree; to the southeast, the Karanja tree; to the southwest, the Creeper-Bearing tree; and to the northwest, the Arjuna tree. The eight great guardians of the directions who dwell at the roots of those trees are: to the east, Indra, yellow, riding an elephant, exceedingly majestic, with a skull marked by a vajra in his left hand; to the south, Yama, blue, riding a buffalo, like a dwarf with a hanging belly and yellow hair standing on end, holding a skull and a staff in his left hand; to the west, the Water God, white, riding a makara, adorned with snakes, holding a skull and a noose; to the north, the commander of the Yaksha host, yellow, riding a horse, like a dwarf with a hanging belly, holding a skull and a staff marked with jewels in his left hand; to the northeast, Ishana, white, riding a bull, with three eyes, holding a skull and a spear in his left hand; to the southeast, the Fire God, reddish-yellow, riding a ram, with four hands, the right holding a club and a skull, the left holding a ladle and a rosary; to the southwest, a Rakshasa, blue, riding a corpse, with the form of a dwarf, a hanging belly, and yellow hair standing on end, holding a skull and a sword in his left hand; to the northwest, the Wind God, blue, riding a deer, with a peaceful face, holding a skull and a banner in his left hand, each adorned with their own ornaments. All of them make the gesture of paying homage to the Bhagavan with their right hands. The eight great field-protecting deities who dwell on the branches of the trees are: to the east, the assembly of gods, white, with the face of an elephant; to the south, Yama, blue, with the face of a buffalo; to the west, the king of the water creatures, red, with the face of a makara; to the north, the commander of the Yaksha host, yellow, with the face of a horse; to the northeast, the assembly of pretas, smoky, with the face of a bull; to the southeast, the assembly of sages, red, with the face of a ram; to the southwest, the assembly of Rakshasas, blue, with the face of a corpse; and to the northwest, the assembly of Wind Gods, blue, with the face of a deer.

In the west, there are blue gatherings of Rakshasas with the faces of corpses. In the northwest, there is a blue wind god with the face of a wild animal. All of them emerge halfway from the gaps in the leaves, transforming into beings holding curved knives and skulls, with reddish-yellow hair standing on end. The eight great clouds are: In the east, the announcer is yellow; in the south, the reverser is blue; in the west, the terrifying one is white; in the north, the revolving one is yellow; in the northeast, the thick one is white; in the southeast, the filling one is reddish-yellow; in the southwest, the rain-bringing one is blue; in the northwest, the fierce one is blue. All of them possess seven snake-headed crests, with the upper body in the form of deities, hands clasped, and the lower body coiled with snake tails. Furthermore, there are eight Tathagata stupas, eight waters of compassion, eight fires of wisdom, accomplished heroes and yoginis, as well as headless corpses, hanging corpses, crushed corpses, corpses pierced by stakes, heads, skeletons, jackals, crows, owls, vultures, and zombies making the sound of "Phaṃ (藏文 ཕཻཾ་, 梵文天城体 फं, 梵文罗马拟音 phaṃ, 汉语字面意思 呸)", and the charnel grounds surrounded by eight great charnel grounds filled with Yakshas, Rakshasas, pretas, flesh-eaters, madmen, forgetters, demons, dakas, dakinis, and practitioners, the directional colors of the palace are: east white, south yellow, west red, north green, center blue. In its center is the mandala of Vajradhara, with five layers of walls in white, yellow, red, green, and blue. In the east is the benefit mandala, with blue, yellow, red, green, and white. In the south is the Vajra Sun mandala, with white, blue, red, green, and yellow. In the west is the Padma Garwang mandala, with white, yellow, blue, green, and red.
