There are also three: meditating on equality of self and others, meditating on exchanging self and others, and training in their conduct. First, just as one wants to abandon one's own suffering, one should also abandon the suffering of other sentient beings. Just as one wants to accomplish one's own happiness, one should think of placing all sentient beings in happiness, and so on. Meditating on exchange is: May all the evil deeds and non-virtue of sentient beings ripen on me. By offering my body, possessions, and virtue to all sentient beings, may all sentient beings equal to the extent of space be happy. The third is: Therefore, one should think of offering one's body, possessions, and all virtue to sentient beings, and train in all the conduct of a Bodhisattva in whatever way is possible. Third, meditating on the ultimate Bodhicitta: Jetsun (referring to Tsongkhapa) only mentioned the outline here, and in the "Bra-ston's Questions and Answers" it says: "One should also meditate on the ultimate Bodhicitta." Apart from this sentence, there is no clear explanation of the method of meditation, and some say that this is because it takes into account that the view will be explained as the inseparability of samsara and nirvana, which is unreasonable. Because the inseparability of samsara and nirvana is the uncommon Vajrayana practice combined with the wisdom of empowerment, and here it is said that the common yogi needs to generate and practice the yoga in the continuum. Also, in some Lamas' guidebooks, it says: The object of exchanging self and others is sentient beings, and the object of exchange is happiness and suffering, and one should think that these are only appearances of the mind, and are not truly established, which is said to be meditating on the ultimate Bodhicitta. But this is only sealing the Bodhicitta of exchanging self and others with the three wheels being pure, and it has not become meditating on the ultimate Bodhicitta. Here, in the guidebook said to be made by Dharma Lord Nyan Chenpa and the guidebook made by Glen Karwa Senge Gyaltsen, in the "Explanation of Bodhicitta": "The Bodhicitta of the Buddhas, the aggregates and so on of myself are only consciousness, not obscured by conceptual thoughts, always the nature of emptiness." It is said to meditate on the meaning of this sentence, so there are three points to explain this: the nature of the ultimate Bodhicitta, the method of realizing it, and generating it in the continuum.

It means, not obscured by the "self" examined by outsiders and the aggregates examined by the Hearers, etc., and the appearances of consciousness examined by the Mind-Only school, that is, not established as the nature of anything, constantly possessing the characteristic of emptiness, empty of the four extremes of elaboration. The second is, as it says in the Bodhisattvacharyavatara: "Relying on the truly existent reality, in order to make the mind abide in the mind, in order to be able to well distinguish the Dharma, therefore one should cultivate Shamatha and Vipassana." That is, the two, Shamatha and Vipassana. The third is, generating Shamatha in the mindstream and generating Vipassana in the mindstream, of which the first again has three: first, focus; in the middle, relax; and finally, cultivate alternately. First, the key point of the body is the vajra posture of the legs, etc., one should possess the seven dharmas of Vairochana. The key point of the object of focus is to place a beautiful object of focus such as a blue lotus flower at an appropriate distance in front of the eyes, so that it is not moved by the wind, etc. The key point of the method of cultivation is that the body does not move, the eyelids do not blink, the image of the object of focus is clear, and thoughts are not scattered to other places. Its method is as it says in the sutra: "The mind abides, universally abides, definitely abides, closely abides, tames, pacifies, closely pacifies, becomes one stream, equally abides." This is the teaching of the nine ways of abiding in the mind, the first of which is the method of focusing the mind on the previous object of focus. The second is to abide for a long time without scattering from that object of focus. The third is that if distraction arises, one should quickly recognize it and then bring the mind back to the previous object of focus. The fourth is that in order not to let the mind scatter outward, one should repeatedly gather the mind inward with mindfulness. The fifth is that by relying on seeing the qualities of Samadhi, one does not let the mind scatter to forms, sounds, etc. The sixth is that when the yogi's mind is distracted, one should regard the afflictions and conceptual thoughts that disturb the mind as faults, and then pacify them with antidotes. The seventh is that if one forgets and generates factors that are not conducive to meditation, such as greed and displeasure, one should not accept them, but pacify them. The eighth
