Suffering because the outer layer of the body is covered with ice. The so-called "A-chu" is when an even colder wind blows, causing a groaning sound of "A-chu, A-chu." The so-called "Ji-hu" is when even a sound cannot be made, emitting a "Ji-hu, Ji-hu" sound. The so-called "teeth chattering" is when no sound can be made at all, and the body shivers. Splitting like an উৎপལ་ (utpala) (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning), is when the color of the outer body turns blue, and it splits into eight and sixteen pieces, etc. Splitting like a lotus is when, due to the power of even greater cold, the outer skin of the body splits, causing blood and oil, etc., to freeze, turning into a red nature, and it also splits into eight and sixteen pieces, etc. Splitting greatly like a lotus is when the lungs, heart, and other internal organs also split, breaking into a hundred and a thousand pieces, etc. The second also has eight aspects. Revival is being born in a fiery place where the iron ground burns in all directions. Everything taken into the hands becomes a weapon, and everything seen becomes enemies who kill each other. By the power of cutting each other's bodies, they exist as if in a faint. Then, because there is a slight cold wind, or a voice from the sky saying, "Revive!", the body returns to its original state, and they experience it as before. Black lines are when eight and sixteen black lines, etc., are drawn on the body, and it is cut with burning weapons such as iron Sātva knives and saws. When the lower body is cut, the upper body is restored; when the upper body is cut, the lower body is restored. Crushing is when the body is pounded into powder between two mountains with faces like sheep and yaks, etc. Then, when scattered outward, the body is restored to its original state, and it is pounded again. Crying out is when, chased by the hell guardians, they see a white mansion and flee there. As soon as they enter, the door closes on its own, turning into a burning iron house, and a piercing cry arises. Great crying out is when they enter two layers like that, and the sound emitted is even louder than before. Hot is when the hell guardians pierce them from the anus to the crown of the head with a burning iron spear, like ashes, burning and roasting the entire inside of the body. Extremely hot is the iron tip

Third, the intensely blazing fire penetrates from the two anal openings and the third hole of the buttocks, scorching all the internal organs, and smoke and fire emerge from the mouth and nose. The Avīci hell is where there is no distinction between the burning fire and the body being burned, and it is recognized only by the sound of agonizing screams. The third is the Utsada hell, which is said to exist in the middle of rocks and hearths, etc., in the human realm, and also on the seashore, etc. The Upacara hell is located around all the previous eight hot hells, with pits of unceasing fire and swamps of rotting, impure mud, where iron worms with sharp beaks pierce the body. When walking on the plain covered with razors, the feet are cut into pieces. On the trees of the sword-leaf mountain, there are sixteen-finger-long iron thorns; when climbing up, one looks down, and when climbing down, one looks up, and the body is split open. In the forest of sword-leaf trees, when resting in the shade of the trees, all the branches and leaves of the trees turn into a rain of swords, cutting the body. These three are counted as one because the types of weapons are the same. There is also the endless river of ashes, surrounded by four rivers. That is, after being liberated from the actual suffering of the eight hot hells, one must experience the four sufferings in each of the four directions. Therefore, it is said that all eight hells have an additional sixteen sufferings. Second, contemplating the suffering of pretas is divided into three: external obscurations, internal obscurations, and obscurations of food or drink. The first is contemplating the suffering of hunger, thirst, cold, heat, fatigue, and fear. The second is the suffering of first not finding food, and if one finds a little, the suffering of worrying about it being snatched away by others. When eating, the food cannot pass through the mouth, which is the size of a needle's eye, and the throat, which is the size of a horse's tail, cannot accommodate it, and the suffering of not being able to fill the stomach even when it becomes as large as the ocean. The third is that as soon as the food reaches the stomach, it turns into a burning iron ball, burning and cooking the entire stomach. Third, the suffering of animals is divided into two
