Hūṃ phaṭ. (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं फट्, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum Phat) The Torma mantra for the deceased in between, the method of offering by reciting it five times, and just the Torma mantra for worldly beings have been spoken. These are also spoken in the tenth chapter of the "Conduct Chapter." There are five meanings to these: the giving of Torma, the implements, the ritual, the method of giving, and the necessity. The first is divided into two: the usual time, as stated in the "Manifest Realization": "With the order of this ritual, give alms in four sessions." The second is the special time, as stated in the tenth chapter of the "Conduct Chapter": "On the tenth day of the waning moon, and on the same day of the waxing moon." And, "On the tenth day of the middle winter month and so on, worship with devotion." As it is said. Second, the implements, as stated in the same chapter: "Quickly and diligently with meat and alcohol, greatly worship the Vajra Goddess." And, in some translations it says: "Diligently with alcohol and so on, worship the heroes, and greatly worship the Vajra Goddess." As it is said. Third, the ritual, both the deceased and worldly Torma that are not related to the generation of the front have already been clearly shown. If it is related to the generation of the front, then at that time, light radiates from the seed syllable in one's heart, striking the eight great charnel grounds, and it is thought to become eight parts of the mandala wheel. The eight parts of the wisdom wheel are invited and absorbed, and all other rituals are the same. Fourth, the method of giving is as stated in the same chapter: "The yogi facing south, greatly worships in a high place. At night, with hair unbound, the ascetic gives the Torma without clothes." As it is said. Fifth, the necessity is as stated in the same chapter: "The glory that comes into his hand, no one can destroy. He is worshiped by faithful beings. After the glory of Heruka has manifestly increased, he will request the supreme with joy, because the supreme abides in his hand." As it is said. After giving the Torma in this way, request the worldly and transcendental Torma guests to return to their natural abode. Gather the emanations in front into my body. Or, when giving the Torma externally, recite the verses of entrusting the activities above and give it, then return.
