Haya Karna, which means Horse Ear. On the northeast spoke, in the Himalayas (Snow Land), there are Virupaksha (विरूपक्ष, Virūpakṣa, Ugly Eye) and Khagananani (खागननानी, Khāgananānī, Bird-faced Mother). These are the deities of the speech wheel, with red body color, the nature of the inconceivable secret of speech. Outside of that is the body wheel, on the east spoke in Pretapuri (प्रेतपुरी, Pretapurī, City of Ghosts) there are Maha Bala (महाबल, Mahābala, Great Strength) and Chakra Vaira (चक्रवैरा, Cakravairā, Wheel Power Mother). On the north spoke, in Griha Deva (गृहदेव, Gṛhadeva, House God) there are Ratna Vajra (रत्नवज्र, Ratnavajra, Jewel Vajra) and Khanda Roha (खण्डरोहा, Khaṇḍarohā, Segment Born Mother). On the west spoke, in Saurashtra (सौराष्ट, Saurāṣṭra, Good Circumference Land) there are Haya Griva (हयग्रीव, Hayagrīva, Horse Neck) and Shaundini (शौण्डिनि, Śauṇḍini, Wine Selling Mother). On the south spoke, in Suvarna Dvi (सुवर्णद्वी, Suvarṇadvī, Golden Island) there are Akasha Garbha (आकाशगर्भ, Ākāśagarbha, Space Essence) and Chakra Varmini (चक्रवर्मीणि, Cakravarmīṇi, Wheel Armor Mother). On the southeast spoke, in Nagara (नगर, Nagara, City) there are Shri Heruka (श्रीहेरुक, Śrīheruka, Glorious Heruka) and Suvira (सुवीरा, Suvīrā, Very Brave Mother). On the southwest spoke, in Sindhu there are Padminishvara (सिन्धूपद्मनिश्वर, Sindhūpadmaniśvara, Lotus Dance自在) and Maha Bali (महाबलि, Mahābali, Great Strength Mother). On the northwest spoke, in Maru (मरु, Maru, Wilderness) there are Vairochana (वैरोचन, Vairocana, Vairochana/All-Illuminating) and Chakra Vartini (चक्रवर्तिनी, Cakravartinī, Wheel Turning Mother). On the northeast spoke, in Kulata there are Vajra Sattva (वज्रसत्व, Vajrasattva, Vajrasattva) and Maha Virya (महावीर्य, Mahāvīrya, Great Effort Mother). These are the deities of the body wheel, with white body color, the nature of the inconceivable secret of body. The twenty-four heroes are, one face and four arms, the first two arms holding vajra and bell, embracing their respective consorts. The scriptures say that the lower right arm holds a Damaru drum, and the lower left arm holds a Khatvanga. The venerable one said: With the profound meaning of the Dharma, the Khatvanga is at the elbow, and the actual left hand holds a skull cup. The first chapter of the root tantra says: The offering place is the great hero. It is said to be the secret meaning of the scripture. When practicing, one visualizes the skull cup, but when writing, one does not write it, because it is hidden in the scripture. The other ornaments and postures are the same as the main deity. The hand gestures, ornaments, and postures of the twenty-four heroines, and the manner of embracing, are all considered to be the same as Vajravarahi.

From then on, at the east gate of the wheel of vows is the black Crow-faced Mother, at the north gate is the green Owl-faced Mother, at the west gate is the red Dog-faced Mother, and at the south gate is the yellow Pig-faced Mother. In the southeast is Yama Tirma, blue on the right and yellow on the left; in the southwest is Yama Messenger, yellow on the right and red on the left; in the northwest is Yama Tusked Mother, red on the right and green on the left; and in the northeast is Yama Destroyer, green on the right and blue on the left. The number of their hands and their hand gestures are the same as the four Essence Yoginis. The text says that they sit with their right legs extended on a seat of wild animals, striving for the benefit of sentient beings. Thus it is said. Here, in the small commentary of Lotsawa, it is said that the meaning of Vajravarahi is the same as a bat, just as a bat steals things, she steals the hatred of Heruka, hence the name Varahi. Heruka steals the desire of Varahi, therefore, it is shown that she possesses qualities contrary to desire and hatred, in order to abandon them. In the corners, the so-called four vessels filled with bodhicitta refer to visualizing four skull cups filled with the five nectars on top of four vases in the four corners. Among them, the vase is the palace, which is the Dharmadhatu, and the skull cup is the means, which is great compassion. First, the so-called heart wheel and so on are mentioned in order to tame the worldly dakinis who dwell in the twenty-four places. In order to be in harmony with them, they are named skull fragments and extremely wrathful mothers, etc., but there is no definite meaning. The so-called at the doors, the Crow-faced Mother, like a crow seeing far away, is for knowing the three times. The Owl-faced Mother, like an owl not seeing during the day but seeing at night, does not see the apprehended and the apprehender, but sees non-duality. The Dog-faced Mother, like a dog not being distracted while eating food but watching, is for focusing on the spontaneously accomplished Suchness. The Pig-faced Mother, like a pig without conceptual thought, the Dharmadhatu is also without conceptual thought. The so-called goddesses dwelling in the corners are two captivating forms, which are samsara.
