The differences in seed syllables. Regarding the three differences of whether or not to desire a lotus on top of Mount Meru, the first is: Prajñārakṣita's commentary, as well as Tathāgatavajra, and the Erroneous Dispeller ( 'khrul spong mkhan po ) say that at the beginning of arising from emptiness, one places one's own mind essence in the form of Nada (Tibetan: ནཱ་ད།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नाद, Sanskrit Romanization: nāda, Chinese literal meaning: sound) in the sky. This is also following what is said in Lāva pa's commentary. Following these views, the Tibetan Mar do, Mar, and Bu dge both also hold this view. Here, Jetsun (Rje btsun) does not approve of placing Nada (Tibetan: ནཱ་ད།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नाद, Sanskrit Romanization: nāda, Chinese literal meaning: sound) in the sky, but rather asserts that from the state of emptiness, one's own mind essence arises as the syllable Yang (Tibetan: ཡྃ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: यं, Sanskrit Romanization: yaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Yang), and then from that, one engages in meditating on the wind mandala and so on. The difference between these two is that the Indian Lāva pa and others are reliable, while Jetsun's assertion is that through the accumulation of wisdom, one cultivates everything into a state of emptiness, and one's own mind is merely clear. Arising from seed syllables such as Nada (Tibetan: ནཱ་ད།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नाद, Sanskrit Romanization: nāda, Chinese literal meaning: sound) or Yang (Tibetan: ཡྃ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: यं, Sanskrit Romanization: yaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Yang), one meditates on the mandala with its support and supported, in order to realize everything as emanations of one's own mind. Therefore, it is considered that there is no difference from which Nada (Tibetan: ནཱ་ད།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नाद, Sanskrit Romanization: nāda, Chinese literal meaning: sound) or seed syllables arise. Sachen (Sa chen) said that in the case of the Black Practitioner (nag po pa), it arises from Nada (Tibetan: ནཱ་ད།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नाद, Sanskrit Romanization: nāda, Chinese literal meaning: sound), while Jetsun said that in this case, it arises from the syllable Yang (Tibetan: ཡྃ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: यं, Sanskrit Romanization: yaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Yang), and this is also their difference. In the system of the Compendium of Wisdom Foot ( 'dus pa ye shes zhabs ), after the accumulation of wisdom, there are two ways of placing or not placing five syllables in the sky, and the key lies in this. If one does not understand this reason, the Wish-Fulfilling Master ( 'dod 'jo mkhan po ) says after the accumulation of wisdom that if Nada (Tibetan: ནཱ་ད།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नाद, Sanskrit Romanization: nāda, Chinese literal meaning: sound) is not placed in the sky, then the purification of the bardo will be interrupted, and therefore there will be the fault of interrupting the actual basis of manifest realization. This is actually applying one's own accumulation of wisdom to the purification of death and existence, and the key that the three dharmas thrown by one of the three dharmas to be purified must be placed has not even appeared in the mind, and it has already been extensively prohibited elsewhere. Even when placing Nada (Tibetan: ནཱ་ད།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नाद, Sanskrit Romanization: nāda, Chinese literal meaning: sound), there are two views: the view of Buton (Bu ston) that the wind mandala is accomplished from Yang (Tibetan: ཡྃ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: यं, Sanskrit Romanization: yaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Yang) from its light, and the view of the Wish-Fulfilling Master ( 'dod 'jo mkhan po ) that after generating the support lotus and so on, Āli Kāli emanates from Nada (Tibetan: ནཱ་ད།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नाद, Sanskrit Romanization: nāda, Chinese literal meaning: sound). The first seems better, and from then on, everything is an emanation of the mind.

This is for the sake of accomplishing it. Therefore, even if nāda is not placed at this time, there is no fault of transgression; even if it is placed, there is no fault of excess, it should be known. Secondly, in this text, when it says "Be Raṃ Pa, etc.," the "Be" is the name of the wind Be Vayu, so it is the seed syllable of wind; "Raṃ" is the seed syllable of fire. These two are clearly shown, and the remaining three are included from the "etc.," as explained by Mar. However, Butön said, "Bhai Raṃbha is the name of the lower base wind, translated as 'Great Work.'" This is good. From Yaṃ (藏文:ཡཾ་,梵文天城体:यं,梵文罗马拟音:yaṃ,汉语字面意思:wind), Raṃ (藏文:རཾ་,梵文天城体:रं,梵文罗马拟音:raṃ,汉语字面意思:fire), Vaṃ (藏文:བཾ་,梵文天城体:वं,梵文罗马拟音:vaṃ,汉语字面意思:water), Laṃ (藏文:ལཾ་,梵文天城体:लं,梵文罗马拟音:laṃ,汉语字面意思:earth), and Suṃ, all five are in agreement in generating the four elements and Mount Meru. The reason why the order of the four elements is like that is also because the outer elements are formed in the order from wind. Although there is no separate fire mandala, the other three mandalas have fire particles, so there is no fault of lacking the object to be purified, as Nāgārjuna-bodhi said, it should be accepted in all mantra texts except for Kālacakra. These are also mentioned in the thirty-second chapter of the Root Tantra: 'The bull yoke does not sink, the remainder dries up as the root place, in the nature of the great rock, or with turtle shells.' The meaning of what is said. Bull (藏文:བ་ལང་) in Chinese is earth, and yoke (藏文:ལྷས་) is the support, therefore. The meaning of "does not sink" is that other things do not sink on it but float, so it is water. "Remainder" is a particle of speech, there is no other meaning. "Dries up" is because it dries up the water, so it is fire. "Root place" is because it is formed below when it is first formed, so it is wind. "Great rock" is Mount Meru, on which one also meditates on a yellow bindu, like a god born from the womb, from those melting, starting from wind, on the basis of the four elements in forward order, one meditates on Mount Meru and the yellow bindu, and on it one generates the palace, both forward and reverse order are shown by this text. Or like a god born from an egg, first the root place, then the fire sinks, then it dries up, then the bull yoke, then one meditates on the great rock, and with turtle shells, in the Pearl Garland, it is explained as the characteristic of earth, but from the oral instructions of the lama, the outer shell of the turtle and the inner sentient being are born together.
