Because it is the syllable "Ah," it is called joyful union. Then, in the southern region, for the benefit of sentient beings, he lived for several centuries in the guise of an archer. Sara means arrow, and Ha means to shoot, so it is called shooting an arrow. Then again, at the glorious Nalanda Monastery, he took ordination in the Sthavira school, and his name was Rahula Bhadra (Sanskrit: Rāhulabhadra), called Rahula the Wise. He assumed the guise of a Pandit and served as Khenpo for several centuries. Then he abandoned the signs of ordination and proclaimed himself a great yogi, working for the benefit of sentient beings for several centuries. In total, he lived in Jambudvipa for twelve centuries and then departed in the manner of Mahamudra, it is said. Some lamas say that he abandoned his body for the sake of the pretas, and the smoke from burning his corpse for the sake of the pretas emptied all the cities of the pretas, and they were reborn in the realm of the gods. He blessed and gave teachings, being one who saw the truth of the nature of reality, prophesied in many sutras, and known as the lion of emptiness, the teacher Arya Nagarjuna. His story is as follows: In the southern country of Vidarbha, there was a Brahmin named Crested Brahmin who had no son. The astrologers calculated and said that if he made offerings to the Three Jewels, served the Sangha, and made great offerings to the Brahmins, he would have a son, but that son would die after six days. He did as they said, and a son was born. The Brahmins gathered and calculated, saying that if he did as before, the son would live for six months. He did so, and the son lived for six months, six years, and then another six years. Then the Brahmins calculated and said that there was no way to save him now. Then the parents thought, "We have found a son of such excellent lineage, form, intelligence, and qualities, unparalleled in the world, and we cannot bear to see him die," so they sent him to another country with wealth and many attendants. Then, gradually, he arrived at the glorious Nalanda Monastery. The teacher, the great Brahmin, asked the Brahmin boy, "Are you willing to be ordained?" He said, "I am willing, but my life is only a few months.

When Ma gzhig said she had no time, the master said that if she became a renunciate, there was a way to have a long life, so she became a renunciate and was placed in the mandala of the Queen of Vidyas, the Great Peacock, and empowered, blessed to live for six hundred years. After that, she became proficient in all mandalas of knowledge, directly realized the path of seeing on the first ground, and greatly benefited sentient beings. During her time as abbot of Nalanda Monastery, she used the income from alchemy to support the monastic community for twelve years. She also invited the one hundred thousand verse Prajnaparamita Sutra from the land of the Nagas below. Through teaching, she cultivated many accomplished disciples such as Arya Deva. Through debate, a monk named De-byed, who had composed twelve hundred thousand verses of treatises such as "Ornament of Reasoning," which destroyed the Buddha's teachings, was also refuted by this person with the logic of reality. Through writing, she clarified the tenets of the Paramita in the form of five collections of reasoning, eighteen collections of praises, and five collections of stories. Through the generation and completion stages of Guhyasamaja, she also clarified the teachings of Vajrayana. In addition, she benefited sentient beings for six hundred years through inconceivable and wonderful conduct. As it is said in "The Manifestation of the Protector," she was born in the southern region of Veta, and someone would ask for her head, and she would give it. The Lankavatara Sutra says that four hundred years after the Buddha's Nirvana, she was born in the southern region of Veta, attained the Joyful Ground, and went to Sukhavati. The Manjushri Root Tantra also prophesied that she would live for six hundred years and accomplish the vidya-mantra of the Great Peacock. These are all in agreement. So, how was the head given away? When the son of King Delek Zangpo asked the master for her head in order to obtain the kingdom, the master said, "Take it as you wish." Then, the prince cut with a sword, but it did not cut through, and the master said, "Cut it with the outer skin of a bamboo. When I was serving as the monastic steward, I cut a bamboo, and there is a remainder of the karma of the downfall of cutting off life."
