According to... , those immaculate Buddhist words and treatises, when enumerating the four tenets of Buddhism, enumerate the Sarvastivada, Sautrantika, Madhyamaka, and Madhyamaka, but do not list the Cittamātra as a separate one. What is the need to disturb the doctrine in this way? If it is thought that the wisdom of non-duality is truly established as the view of the Great Madhyamaka, and that it is not truly established as the view of those who speak of the emptiness of self-nature in the Madhyamaka, then in that case, one should first state the aspect of the wisdom of non-duality that is not truly established, and then refute it with the aspect that is truly established, because the higher and higher reasonings can refute the lower and lower views. If you admit this, it contradicts the previous scriptures, and the reasoning is also established, as it says in the Zhallung: "The lower mind is overcome by the higher, by wisdom." And in the Bodhicaryāvatāra: "Yogis are also harmed by the higher and higher ones due to the difference in intelligence." Therefore. If it is thought that the non-dual consciousness and the ālaya-vijñāna are other-dependent, so they are not truly established, but the wisdom of those two is the pariniṣpanna, so it is truly established, then that distinction is also self-made, as it says in the Zhallung: "The wisdom of non-duality," and in the Essence of Wisdom Collected from All: "The non-dual consciousness," which means the same thing. And in the Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra: "Great wisdom, the Tathāgatagarbha is called the ālaya-vijñāna, it should be practiced." And in the Vajra Verses: "The ālaya-vijñāna is the pure great Bodhi," because in the names of the Tathāgatagarbha, the term ālaya-vijñāna is used. Furthermore, if the realm of beginningless time mentioned in the Abhidharma Sūtra is the ālaya-vijñāna, then it contradicts the commentary on the Ratnagotravibhāga, which is cited as proof of the Tathāgatagarbha, and if it is wisdom, then it contradicts the Compendium of Mahāyāna, which is cited as proof of the ālaya-vijñāna, because those two treatises both say that it is the view of the Great Madhyamaka, and they say that wisdom and consciousness are contradictory. Third, the two Vinaya Sūtras, the Pramāṇavārttika, the commentary by Śāntipa, Vasubandhu's Destruction of Harm from the Three Mothers, and the Twenty Verses.

Furthermore, treatises such as the "Distinction of the Thirty Verses" are major Madhyamaka texts. If one is a major Madhyamaka follower like Shantipa, then what is the Mind-Only treatise translated from India to Tibet? Please name the Indian pandit who held the Mind-Only view. Fourth, if Nagarjuna's "Collection of Reasoning" is interpreted as self-empty and the "Collection of Praises" is interpreted as other-empty, then which of these two is the ultimate view of Madhyamaka? If it is self-empty, then the opponent's position is established, and it contradicts one's own commitment. If it is other-empty, then it has already been said that the lower would refute the higher. If it is both, then the non-dual consciousness, its nature should be empty, because its nature being empty is the ultimate view of Madhyamaka. If you accept that, then that phenomenon, its nature should not be empty, because its nature not being empty is the ultimate view of Madhyamaka. One should speak words that can withstand shame in the presence of the wise. Fifth, if one asserts that phenomena are inherently existent, then both the meaning and conventional truth of Madhyamaka cannot stand, because Nagarjuna said, "Whatever exists by its own nature, it is not non-existent, therefore it is permanent. Saying that it existed before but does not exist now, therefore it would become annihilation." If one thinks that it is said to be Madhyamaka in his own treatise, then in that case, all four proponents of philosophical systems would become Madhyamaka. Sixth, the Tathagatagarbha and Dharmadhatu that you accept cannot have the functions of samsara and nirvana, because they are established as truly existent rather than empty. This is pervasive, because Nagarjuna said, "For whom emptiness is possible, for him everything is possible. For whom emptiness is not possible, for him everything is impossible." Seventh, even if the Dharmadhatu is truly established, you want to prevent the subject's clinging to reality, I ask you this: Is it because the reality of the object of clinging is not found when analyzed with reason, so the subject's clinging to reality naturally disappears? Or is it that without refuting the reality of the object of clinging, the subject's clinging to reality is arbitrarily stopped? If it is the former, then it is directly contradictory, because it has been promised that the reality of the object of clinging can be found when analyzed with reason. If it is the latter, then it would become the view of the Chinese Heshang, because without analyzing the object, the subject's conceptualization is arbitrarily stopped.
