You personally draw the mandala and receive it in the form of self-entry. All of these are methods of repeatedly familiarizing oneself with the vows obtained at the time of maturation, and therefore become the path itself. Similarly, the Hevajra body mandala, Vajravarahi, and Heruka body mandala, relying on these to receive the four empowerments from the guru, or receiving them yourself through meditation in the form of four sessions, etc., are also the same as this. The key to this is that maturation needs to precede it. Similarly, for people with excellent faculties, merely practicing the profound Guru Yoga, and before practicing some profound Completion Stage, receiving the ritual of blessings, etc., these are also methods of familiarizing oneself with the vows already obtained, and are the same as before. What is included by "etc." is to practice diligently and properly with strong Second Stage effort, and even if one does not practice diligently with strong Second Stage effort, if one properly protects the vows and precepts, then one can achieve enlightenment within sixteen lifetimes at the latest, etc. The former refers to the aspect of quickly achieving favorable conditions on the basis that the seeds of the four bodies themselves have no obstacles; the latter refers to the aspect of the seeds of the four bodies themselves naturally growing and achieving the fruition after a long time if there are no obstacles. This also proves that the completion of the mantra vows of this lineage requires the complete attainment of the four empowerments. Because if one completely obtains the mantra vows and then properly protects the vows, then one can achieve enlightenment in sixteen lifetimes, which is the meaning here. If one only completes the mantra vows through the vase empowerment, then it would be a fault to achieve the fruition without obtaining the higher empowerments. Wanting to establish the arguments for these, therefore it is said: There are twelve kinds of differences in empowerment, On the path, empowerment and the profound path guru, Even without practicing the stages, one can achieve supreme siddhi, This is in accordance with this. Thus it is said, in the differences of empowerment of the venerable one, for those who have not matured before, giving to others through the preliminary, main, and concluding actions is the empowerment of the time of cause; then through the same ritual, repeatedly giving that empowerment to others is taking the empowerment of cause as the path; through the same ritual, receiving it oneself is taking the empowerment of cause as the path of meditation; giving the torma up to the ground ritual.

Merely discerning truth from falsehood, one accepts the remaining part of the deities, and abandoning the remaining part of the disciples, one has them recite the confession as a substitute, while accepting the other parts. Abandoning the entering part, one has them take the vows of the five families as a substitute, while accepting the other parts. Briefly taking the two vows of declaration and acceptance, one accepts the parts below the vase empowerment. Performing the confession beforehand, one receives the four empowerments with four phrases, and finally only gives the breath of the fruition. Receiving four empowerments in one stream of bodhicitta, similar to entering. Performing the confession beforehand, one receives by taking the vows of the five families. Promising to fulfill the vows in the end, as the main deity has commanded. All the Tathagatas simultaneously bestow empowerment, connecting with the fruition. Receiving four empowerments through any one of the profound paths, these are the twelve stages. Among these ways of receiving, the first is done for those who have not matured before, and the second is done even for those who do not know the ritual. From the third to the tenth, it is done for those who have matured through their own or others' power, considering the time and necessity, and should not be forced. The eleventh is only for the most excellent individuals, and the twelfth is for those who have received guidance, applying it to the time and temperature. The benefits are that for those who have not entered the path, obstacles are pacified, favorable conditions are complete, and those who gradually enter the path become suitable vessels. For those who have entered the path, virtuous deeds are increased, and all faults of the limbs are eliminated. If taken in four sessions, the root downfall will not occur. Finally, according to the differences of great, medium, and small diligence, one is liberated in this life or in the bardo, or within seven or sixteen lifetimes, as it is said in the tantras. Thus it is said. These explain that even without meditating on the two stages, liberation is attained through empowerment itself, and that is because the vows obtained during the initial maturing four empowerments are increased from above by the key of the later empowerments. Empowerment at the time of the path, the profound path, and liberation through blessings also arise from this, but if distinguished, like the "four sessions of the path" in the Vajra Verses, etc., both Nagarjuna and his son said: If something falls from the peak of the King of Mountains, it will not fall.
