It is like this. The Two Contemplations Tantra states: "The vajra consecration is the vajra itself. Holding the great hand seal and the great bell, today I have become the vajra acharya. Gather all the assemblies of disciples." This seems to be its intention. On the mind of bodhi that is the basis, the mind of bodhi mixed with the equal union of the guru father and mother, and the reality of the third empowerment, at the time of co-emergence, and at that time possessing the wisdom of the Buddha, and all of samsara and nirvana being complete. When the meaning of the symbol corresponds with the four lines of words, one obtains the mind of renunciation, which is the mind of abandoning arrogance and attachment to the divine. The meditation of abandoning arrogance and attachment to the divine is the completion stage of the path of liberation, therefore its ripening empowerment is the above three. Therefore, the way to obtain the mind of renunciation is not like the Shravakas, who generate the thought that these objects to be abandoned must be abandoned, but rather the mark of the empowerment ritual, the wisdom of the signified meaning, or the wisdom of the symbolic example, or simply at the time of obtaining experience, one should know that it is naturally obtained. In order to eliminate the dispute about this, it is said: When wisdom arises, is there another mind of renunciation? Are the minds of renunciation of the root downfalls not included? The faults of ripening and liberation, such as confusion, are known from the reasons that do not obscure. Such words were spoken. If the symbolic example wisdom, like wanting to see the moon in the sky that is free from all conceptual thoughts, but seeing the reflection of the moon in the water, arises, then is it also necessary to have a mind that is different from that wisdom, wanting to abandon ordinary conceptual thoughts? That is not so. Because "This is called samsara, this is nirvana," and "That is mantra recitation, that is asceticism, that is fire offering, that is the one with the mandala, that is the mandala itself, in short, the mind is a form of aggregation," as it is said, at that time there is nothing that is not the nature of that wisdom, and the manifestation of conceptual thoughts is impossible to arise at that time. Here, all minds of renunciation are included in the mind of renunciation of ordinary conceptual thoughts, and the mind of renunciation of arrogance and attachment to the divine. Then the minds of renunciation of the root and branch downfalls are not included.

If one thinks that it will change like that, but that will not be an obstacle, because those (thoughts) are all included in the mind of abandonment that abandons ordinary conceptual thoughts. Because those conceptual thoughts that should be abandoned do not exceed the scope of ordinary conceptual thoughts. Furthermore, since it has been explained that ordinary conceptual thoughts and the conceptual thoughts of fanatically clinging to deities are the objects to be abandoned in the generation stage and completion stage of the path to liberation, if one thinks that the mind of abandonment that abandons these two is obtained in the stage of empowerment, then the objects to be abandoned in maturation and liberation will be confused, but that will not be an obstacle. Because there is no path independent of empowerment, and what is obtained in the stage of empowerment is taken as the path to practice, in this supreme tradition, the fact that the objects to be abandoned in empowerment and the path are the same is a characteristic, not a fault. In short, since there is no path independent of empowerment, and the objects to be abandoned in the path are also the objects to be abandoned in empowerment, if one thinks that liberation can be obtained merely through empowerment, but that will not be an obstacle. Precisely for this reason, it is said that people like the victorious king Indrabhūti can obtain liberation merely through empowerment. Even if others who cannot obtain liberation through empowerment need to practice, guarding and increasing the empowerment that has been obtained is called practice. As it is said in the "Treatise on the Three Vows": "Therefore, the core words are like this, empowerment is not just an entrance to the Dharma, because mantra is the path of dependent arising, it is the key to arranging dependent arising. In the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, after planting the seeds of Buddhahood, the method of realizing Buddhahood in this life is called empowerment. Therefore, it is said that people with superior faculties can obtain liberation merely through empowerment. Others who cannot obtain liberation through empowerment need to practice. Therefore, guarding and increasing the empowerment that has been obtained is called practice." Thus it is said. If one thinks, how can what is obtained through empowerment be practiced as the path? After that, whether in that mandala or another mandala, the method of repeatedly familiarizing oneself with the vows obtained from the four cause empowerments and the four body mandala empowerments, as well as the guru yoga blessings and stages, etc. This means that after first obtaining the four maturing empowerments in one mandala, then whether in that mandala itself or in another mandala, receiving the four empowerments from the guru, or oneself.
