If someone thinks that the difference between arising and not arising is unreasonable, then, although the essence of wisdom itself is clear, it is not contradictory to have differences in clarity and non-clarity depending on mutual dependence. Generally speaking, all consciousnesses are clear, but for consciousness itself, there are many distinctions of clarity and non-clarity depending on mutual dependence, which are explained in the scriptures. In particular, for memory and wisdom, etc., there are differences in clarity and non-clarity depending on mutual dependence. It is also the same for external objects, although the light of a lamp is clear, there are obvious differences in clarity and non-clarity depending on mutual dependence. Here, the distinction between clarity and non-clarity is made from the perspective of whether the subsequent mind can recognize it as wisdom, but I have not said anywhere that the essence of wisdom itself is unclear. Although the essence of a dream itself is clear, who would deny that there is a distinction between clarity and non-clarity in a dream when awake? If someone thinks that if the wisdom as an example is clear in its essence, then it is impossible not to recognize it as clear, then this contradicts the tantras, oral instructions, and treatises of Indian scholars. The Hevajra says: "Whatever bliss is in this death, that bliss is said to be samadhi." Its commentary, Dagl Den, says: "Whatever bliss is in death, refers to the time when ordinary people die, the knots of the channels are released, and the wisdom of the example of bliss and emptiness arises. If one recognizes it, one will be liberated, but if one does not recognize it, one will wander in samsara." The Manjushri Oral Instruction says: "The Dharmakaya, great joy, equal to space, death, fainting, sleep, yawning, and sexual intercourse, are experienced for a moment, therefore, one should diligently meditate so that the minds of sentient beings can be tamed." In its commentary, the Physician's Foot says: "It is also said that the time of remembering non-dual wisdom is the Dharmakaya, etc. A moment means that only in that moment, from that path, even if great bliss free from conceptualization arises for a long time, it will not be recognized because it lacks the oral instructions of the guru." The second view is that some people think that the wisdom of the example as a symbol arises only from practicing the completion stage after empowerment, and it does not arise at the time of empowerment. If it arises at the time of empowerment, then it would lead to the need to practice the completion stage for a year or a month at the time of empowerment itself. This is wrong.
