Since the complete nature of the Alaya-consciousness is not fully understood, the Compendium on the Great Vehicle, the Compendium of Topics, and the Thirty Verses Commentary, according to the Mind-Only school, all similarly show the complete nature of the Alaya. Therefore, after the Compendium of Topics has completely explained the nature of the Alaya, it says, "The Vipaka-consciousness and the receiving consciousness are also it," because the Sutra school believes that these two exist when entering into cessation. But you have not understood that they are also the Alaya-consciousness, in fact they are the Alaya, so the previous quotation is not relevant to this. Tenth question, above it says "What exists in conventional truth is merely imputation," saying that conventional existence is imputation, and then below it says "Alaya and so on are only Mind-Only," these only exist in conventional truth. Therefore, is it necessary to admit that Alaya is imputation? The answer is, "What exists in conventional truth is merely imputation," the meaning of this sentence is that the way of existing in conventional truth is only existing through the way of superimposition, not existing in ultimate truth. But this does not mean that if a basis exists in conventional truth, then that basis must be imputation. Because according to this school's view, incorrect parikalpita is also considered conventional truth. Eleventh question, if the Madhyamaka says to the Mind-Only school, you also admit the term "transformation of the basis," then is the transformation of the basis in ultimate truth or in conventional truth? If such a refutation is made, then when the Madhyamaka itself admits the transformation of the basis, what is the way of transformation of the basis that is different from the Mind-Only school? The answer is, if the Mind-Only school admits the transformation of the basis in conventional truth, then it contradicts their own tenets. But if the Madhyamaka admits the transformation of the basis in conventional truth, then there is no fault of contradicting their own tenets or contradicting reason, this is the difference. Twelfth question, since the Mind-Only school does not admit external objects, then how does the Compendium on the Great Vehicle say "Because of the transformation of the form aggregate, it becomes a Buddha-field and a body," etc., how does it admit the form aggregate? The answer is, the form aggregate, the form realm, and the sense bases are all admitted nominally.

At that time, the non-Buddhists only nominally acknowledge external objects, but in reality, they do not acknowledge the aggregates of form, etc. Therefore, there is no contradiction in their own tenets. If one thinks that in this way, the aggregates of form should not change, then it is precisely for this reason that the Madhyamikas show self-contradiction. The thirteenth question is that the uncommon vehicle considers that the stages of the grounds and paths, as well as the attainment of the result, are no different from the common Mahayana path itself. And, "In the Unsurpassed, the four empowerments and the two stages are the characteristics of the Great Yoga." This states that there are differences in the path. Furthermore, it is said that there is also the possibility of attaining half and three grounds in the result. How is this so? The answer is that, in general, the ten grounds, the five paths, and the ultimate attainment of abandonment and realization of the result are all explained from the common Mahayana path. The uncommon vehicle also considers these to be as they are. This means that it does not deny the characteristics that are not present in the common vehicle. Because there are many differences as mentioned above, and "Even if the meaning is the same, there is no confusion," etc. If there were no differences, then the term "uncommon" would also be meaningless. Therefore, if one understands that these two are the general and the specific, then this problem will naturally be resolved. The fourteenth question is that the establishment of the two truths is based on the minds of ordinary people. The minds of ordinary people either think that something exists, or that it does not exist, or that both exist, or that neither exists. They cannot grasp anything other than these. So how can these not be the ultimate truth? The answer is that in the state of Buddhahood, the two truths are in union, so there is no separation. The Buddha, the Bhagavan, understood this, and when teaching sentient beings, in order not to deceive ordinary people, he relied on the terms "non-deceptive" for the ultimate and "deceptive" for the conventional, and separated the two truths to teach. At this time, in the nature of the mind's confusion or non-confusion, or reversal or non-reversal, or false perception and true perception, or delusion and non-delusion, conventional truth and ultimate truth are established for truth. At that time, the minds of ordinary people take the ultimate truth as their object because the mind is not confused, etc. when distinguishing the two truths.
