Having taken hold with pervasive clinging, is it that you do not know the difference between establishing existence and establishing identity, and the difference between proving existence and proving identity? For example, regarding a place with smoke, there is fire, because there is smoke. When smoke is, do you acknowledge that fire is also pervasive? Hehe. Then, how do sentient beings exist when divided into five lineages? I take the words of the venerable Drakpa Gyaltsen as my standard, so the naturally abiding lineage exists as the nature, the increasing lineage exists as the quality, and the three kayas exist as the power. Thus I say, what others say, you should ask them. 25) The dharmadhatu is the cause of perfect enlightenment. If there is no change, it is the nature of the dharmadhatu. Why is it placed in the category of cause? Because it is the cause of the noble dharma, therefore it is said to be the nature of the dharmadhatu. How does this appear in authoritative texts? The answer is: In general, there are two types of causes: the productive cause and the nature cause. The first must have change, but the second does not necessarily have change. Otherwise, that would also become a productive cause. Placing the dharmadhatu in the category of cause refers to the nature cause, because apart from the difference between temporary defilements and freedom from defilements, its own nature does not change. Because it is the cause of the noble dharma, it is also called the nature of the dharmadhatu, which is the same meaning. Otherwise, if it were the productive cause of the noble dharma, it would become conditioned. 26) The dharmadhatu is the supreme dharma, and supreme means virtuous. Is this not stated in authoritative texts? If the nature of the dharmadhatu is not virtuous, then is the great bliss illusory body also considered not virtuous? If so, then is it not also said to be "virtuous" in the praises? The answer is: It has already been said that this is a meaningless question. If we give another clear example, it is like the son of a Brahmin, if he is not the king of beasts, then he is called a lion. Is it not the case that the word "lion" refers to the king of beasts? This is the same as that example. What is meant by the great bliss illusory body? If it is the dharmadhatu, it is included in the previous content. If not,

What connection does that have? 27) If the Dharmadhatu is neutral, since there is no other dharma apart from the Dharmadhatu, then virtue and vice would also become neutral. Wouldn't such a doubt arise? The answer to this is: The intention of the treatise is that all evil deeds and neutral actions will become virtuous, because all of them possess the Dharmadhatu. The pervasion is accepted, and the sign is established, because there is no other dharma apart from the Dharmadhatu. If you assert the root, then it would be impossible for all sentient beings to go to the lower realms, because no matter which of the three—virtue, non-virtue, or neutrality—is committed, each one is a virtuous act. That is its meaning. To this, if you say that your virtue and vice also have neutrality, because they possess the Dharmadhatu, then what fault is there in answering with acceptance? If you think it is the same as the previous fault, it is not the same, because neutrality is not the cause of either good or bad destinies. 28) If the Dharmadhatu is not applicable to all three, wouldn't the same doubt arise? The answer to this is: Since it was not said that any of the three Dharmadhatus are not applicable, there is no need to avoid that fault. However, if the Dharmadhatu is virtuous for your kind, then non-virtue and neutrality would also become virtuous, because there is no other dharma apart from the Dharmadhatu. If you say this, if none of the three Dharmadhatus are, then virtue is also not any of the three, non-virtue is also not any of the three, and neutrality is also not any of the three, because there is no other dharma apart from the Dharmadhatu. Saying that this is the same is like the former proponent accepting that knowable is a pot, and the latter proponent saying that the pillar is a dharma, is a pot, because it is knowable. The three aspects of the pervasion are established, and the former proponent says: You accept that knowable is not a pot, so the golden pot is a dharma, is not a pot, because it is knowable. This pervasion also establishes three aspects. Saying that this is the same as pushing the three aspects of the establishment and the refutation also pushing the three aspects of the refutation, why is it necessary to ask all the wise men of U-Tsang and Kham? Ask the debaters of today's debating grounds. 29) Dharma
