Yes, indeed. Therefore, if the aspiration to attain Buddhahood for the sake of all sentient beings is not lost, then by gradually studying the practice, cyclic existence will eventually have an end. For example, if the flow of people is continuous, then food and wealth will naturally arise. Therefore, no matter who generates bodhicitta, it is difficult to lose the aspiration, and ultimately one will attain Buddhahood. This is the intention behind it. The intention of the Compendium of Trainings should also be understood in the same way. Therefore, the practices of bodhicitta, due to the differences in extensiveness and diligence, result in earlier or later Buddhahood. Therefore, for those who gradually attain Buddhahood through the practice of bodhicitta, it is not a fault not to add the practices necessary for rapid Buddhahood. For example, it is not a fault not to give medicine that needs to be effective immediately to a patient who needs gradual treatment. Therefore, this is in terms of ease of practice, not that it is never necessary to practice. These, in the ceremony of taking vows in the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra, "I will generate the mind of enlightenment" is generating the aspiration, and then "I will gradually train in the bodhisattva practices" is promising to gradually study the practice. It is not promising to study all the practices immediately, so there is no fault of breaking the vow. After generating the aspiration, if even a small amount of virtue is not practiced, there is a fault of breaking the vow. However, the causes for abandoning the aspiration are extremely rare. As for the practice, if even a small amount of virtue is not done, it is almost impossible, so I think it is difficult to abandon the bodhicitta of the Madhyamaka school. In general, rituals have three types: those with greater benefits, those with greater faults, and those with equal benefits and faults. This bodhicitta is one with greater benefits, as it is said. Therefore, the view of this great being is that, having taken both the aspiration and the practice of the Madhyamaka school at the same time, as long as the aspiration "to attain Buddhahood for the sake of all sentient beings" is not abandoned, the vows of aspiration bodhicitta will not be abandoned. As stated in the Sutra of the Essence of Space, having committed a root downfall, one will fall from some aspects of the practice, as mentioned earlier, and Je Tsongkhapa also said the same. That is because it is aimed at those with sharp faculties who have promised to abandon all root downfalls, not for those with dull faculties.

For individuals of superior, middling, and inferior faculties, adhering to the precepts tailored to their respective capacities ensures that the bodhisattva's teachings do not decline. The assertion by the Mind-Only school that vows are relinquished upon transgression pertains to instances of fundamental downfalls resulting from intense entanglement. They posit that even engaging in practices akin to defeat-like situations while bound by moderate or minor entanglements does not necessitate the abandonment of vows. As elucidated in the Bodhisattvabhumi: 'In brief, only two causes lead to the forfeiture of vows duly undertaken by a bodhisattva: complete renunciation of the aspiration for unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment, and the pervasive engagement in defeat-like dharmas with profound entanglement. If a bodhisattva neither abandons the aspiration nor engages pervasively in defeat-like dharmas with profound entanglement, even upon the cessation of life, whether reborn in lower, higher, or intermediate realms, the vows duly undertaken as a bodhisattva remain uncompromised. Even if a bodhisattva forgets upon rebirth, relying on the cultivation of virtuous friendship serves merely to rekindle remembrance, not to necessitate a fresh undertaking. Furthermore, concerning these four defeat-like situations, neither minor nor moderate entanglement causes the relinquishment of the bodhisattva's mind, which is the duly undertaken vow. Profound entanglement, however, does lead to abandonment.' What, then, distinguishes minor, moderate, and profound entanglement? The Bodhisattvabhumi states: 'When a bodhisattva continuously engages in these four defeat-like dharmas, without generating even a modicum of shame or embarrassment, finding contentment and delight therein, and regarding them as virtues, this should be recognized as profound entanglement.' From the implication that the complete presence of all three factors constitutes profound entanglement, it is understood that the presence of approximately two factors signifies moderate entanglement, and the presence of only one factor signifies minor entanglement. In the commentary on the 'Twenty Vows of the Venerable Bodhibhadra,' it is stated that when a slight degree of shame and embarrassment arises again, and cessation occurs due to the entreaties of others,
