etc., which is one verse. The reason why these are impure diligence is because they are attachment to evil deeds and laziness. As Asanga said, the diligence of non-Buddhists other than these sects is actually laziness. As it is said in the "Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life": "Attachment to bad laziness." The fifth impure meditation is "unskillful emptiness" etc., which are seven aspects. Meditating on unskillful emptiness, as it is said in the "Ratnavali": "If one understands this Dharma wrongly, the unskillful one will be destroyed by it. Looking at non-existence in this way, the impure one will sink into it." Therefore, even if one meditates with great faith, it is still like that. Furthermore, misunderstanding the path of liberation of the channels, energies, and bindus, etc., some coarse conceptualizations disappear, and becoming a method for generating subtle samadhi of mind-abiding, even with great faith, etc. The sixth impure wisdom is "the Buddha's teachings" etc., which is one verse. As it is said in the "Sutra of Spreading Light": "Abandoning the correct Dharma, engaging in non-Dharma activities. Therefore, the ignorant ones abandon the inferior ones." The seventh impure faith is "to a bad lama" etc., which is one verse. As the teacher Shantipa said: "Lack of faith is the primary enemy, excessive faith is the root of extreme error." The eighth impure compassion is "the sick are happy" etc., which are two verses. There are four impure compassions: The first, as it is said in the "Vinaya Sutra", is like a maidservant hitting the head of a sick master with a piece of wood. The second, as it is said in the "Vajra Tent Tantra": "Do not be kind to the wicked." The third, as it is said in the Fourteenth Root Downfall: "Proclaiming secrets to sentient beings who are not yet mature is the seventh." The fourth, as it is said in the "Compendium of Trainings": "Teaching emptiness to sentient beings whose minds have not been trained." In general, for non-vessels, as it is said in the "Commentary on Valid Cognition": "Arrogance and disbelief, and not seeking meaning, external distraction, and listening with weariness are impurities." The ninth impure love is "to the wicked" etc., which are six aspects. The first, as it is said in the Fourteenth Root Downfall:

Like, "Always loving sentient beings, this is called the tenth." The second is from the Vajra Tent: "Always gather disciples." And from the Vinaya: "The abbot should generate the thought of a son in the disciple." The third is from the Two Examinations: "The vajra itself is the fence, and tying the tent is also contemplation." The fourth is from the Vajra Destroyer: "Arising from the wrathful vajra." And "destroying all demons." If you stop them, you are contradicting those tantras. The tenth is the impure path of means: "From all sutras and tantras," etc., two verses. The path of means not taught in all sutras and tantras, and the arising of warmth, bliss, and seeming non-conceptuality that cannot be proven by reason, etc., are impure paths of means. Although it can make fools happy by slightly removing disease and demons, such a path of means is also found in non-Buddhists. The eleventh is the impure aspiration: "The root of self-view," etc., six sentences. Second, the advice to abandon them after knowing them is, "Those," etc., one verse. The infinite perfections of the Great Vehicle and the secret mantra Buddha's words, such as the eleven things mentioned above, are mistaken in their essentials, so although it seems to be doing the good of the Great Vehicle, it should be known as impure and abandoned. As the Thubpa Gongsal says: "Some roots of virtue go to the perfection of gods and humans in the heavens. Some become the cause of hearers and self-enlightened ones. In order to prevent them, the edge of Nirvana is suppressed by means, the edge of samsara is suppressed by wisdom, and the two are quickly brought to the limit by the power of diligence. All the slight virtues, starting with generosity, should be quickly transformed into the cause of manifest enlightenment." The sutra says: "Whoever guides the victorious ones, even a small act will be done. They will go to various heavens, and then attain the immortal state." So it is said. Third, the conclusion is made with pure teachings: "In short, the Buddha," etc., one verse. As the Treasury says: "Those who have precepts, hearing, and thought, should diligently meditate.
