Causes great joy to the Buddhas. Accumulates immeasurable accumulations of merit and wisdom. The wisdom that does not discriminate about the Dharma, because it arises, is considered supreme. Thus it is said. Although it is so, this (ultimate Bodhicitta) does not arise through rituals. Because the scriptural and logical proofs to be explained below will hinder it. The second (ultimate Bodhicitta does not arise through rituals) has four parts: stating what hinders arising through rituals; there is no proof of arising through rituals; establishing that it does not arise through rituals by means of examples; refuting contradictions with scriptural proofs. First, if it arises through rituals, etc., one verse. If ultimate Bodhicitta arises through rituals, then it will become Bodhicitta arising from expression. If you think so, it is unreasonable. Because ultimate Bodhicitta itself is the Bodhicitta that has attained the ground of ultimate Dharmata. The second is the preliminary and main practices, etc., here are six. Third, for example, water and fertilizer, etc., three verses. For example, just as farmers can actually perform agricultural tasks such as watering, fertilizing, and planting seeds, relative Bodhicitta can also be actually generated through rituals. However, just as crops such as seedlings, trees, and ears of rice actually come from the fields and not from people, ultimate Bodhicitta, stainless vows, and meditative vows, etc., arise naturally through the power of cultivation, not through rituals. These reasons and related discussions all come from all the sutras and shastras. Furthermore, in Kamalaśīla's Stages of Meditation, a sutra from the Samdhinirmocana Sutra is quoted, saying: Ultimate Bodhicitta is beyond the world, free from all elaborations, extremely clear, the stainless object of ultimate reality, unwavering like a flame of a lamp in the absence of wind. To accomplish it, one must always respectfully practice the yoga of calm abiding and insight. Thus it is said. Fourth, ultimate Bodhicitta, etc., eleven. As in the Ornament of Clear Realization, in the section on the seven limbs, there are three answers regarding ultimate Bodhicitta, and in the Hundred Dharmas Sutra it says: One should generate the supreme ultimate Bodhicitta. Although there are such statements, this is only a vow and not generated through rituals.

For example, giving and so on. If these are also rituals, then one must go to some place! And so on, it will become too much of a ritual, and the rituals will become endless. The third is, alas, the world, etc., this is a verse, this foolish world, abandoning all the pure rituals of the three vows spoken by the Victorious One, but strictly pursuing rituals for the ultimate mind generation that has not been spoken of, one should examine whether such a person will become a happy or miserable being. Second, there are two precepts for protecting what has been obtained from being lost: showing the fourfold distinction of transgressions, and refuting wrong views on the main point of the precepts. The first has two parts: dividing into four categories, and the reason for becoming four. The first is, thus, Mind-Only, etc., fifteen in total. As previously explained, although there are differences in the systems of rituals for taking Mind-Only and Madhyamaka, etc., nevertheless, the Great Vehicle Mind-Only and Madhyamaka all agree that the fourfold distinction of transgressions is taught: non-transgression, transgression, the image of transgression, and the image of non-transgression. What are the four? They are pure intention, etc. The second is, in short, the mind, etc., nine in total. Both motivation and the combination of body and speech being dark is transgression, both being white is non-transgression, if the motivation is white but the combination is dark, it is the image of transgression, but in reality there is no transgression, if the motivation is dark but the combination is white, it is the image of non-transgression, but in reality it is the reason for transgression. In short, because there is no other great vehicle virtue or vice other than the projection of the mind. As it says in the Four Hundred Verses of the Noble Deva: Through the door of intention, all appearances of virtue or non-virtue of the body and speech of a Bodhisattva become virtue, because the mind is the main thing for the virtue and vice of a Bodhisattva. And in other sutras, tantras, and treatises, it is also taught that the distinction between virtue and vice depends on the mind, as it says in the Cloud of Jewels Sutra: Virtue or non-virtue, actions are accumulated by the mind. And in the Sutra of Gathering the True Dharma: All dharmas depend on the mind. And the teacher Nagarjuna says in the commentary on the Black Enemy:
