The first is six lines, starting with "not this." If the Dharmadhatu is transformed into virtue by the mind, it becomes one with clinging thoughts. If the elaborations of the four extremes are not stopped, then the Dharmadhatu is meaningless. If one aims to stop it from becoming a cause for enlightenment, then it is grasping at non-grasping. Therefore, all dedications made with conditioned virtue are tainted by this. For example, if one frog in a well is injured, its rotting wound will cause the other frogs to rot as well. The second is five lines, starting with "Dharmata, free from elaboration." The first verse shows the manner of dedication, the second shows the virtue to be dedicated, and the third and fourth show the purpose. A dedication with such characteristics is a pure dedication. The words of dedication are: By this great being, I prostrate, offer, and confess. I rejoice, urge, and pray. I take refuge and generate the mind of enlightenment. Whatever virtue I and others have, with the wisdom of the three circles completely pure, abandoning the poison of clinging to existence and non-existence, without desiring samsara or nirvana, may I quickly attain Buddhahood for the benefit of beings. It should be said as such. The third is seventeen lines, starting with "Dharmata, the object of dedication." In the Condensed Sutra, it says: If one focuses on signs, it is not dedication. If there are no signs, it is dedication to enlightenment. Like eating good food mixed with poison, clinging to white dharma is also like that, as the Buddha said. And in the Ornament of Clear Realization, it is also said: The dedication that surpasses the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas has three characteristics: non-clinging, non-perversion, and accomplishing the purpose of its own nature. And in the Eight Thousand Verses, it says: For those with clinging thoughts, there is no dedication. Why is that? Because clinging is accompanied by poison. And in the Tantra, it says: Conceptual thought is great ignorance, it is the cause of falling into the ocean of samsara. If one abides in non-conceptual samadhi, then one becomes stainless like the sky. All of these unanimously indicate that dedication with clinging is not pure. The fourth is seven lines, starting with "Those who cling." Third, because the previously quoted scriptures contradict each other, it is refuted.

That is. Furthermore, there are five things such as Dharmata. In that very Sutra, it says that the blessing of the unchanging Dharmata is true. You transform that Dharmata by dedicating it. All the merits of all beings. Because you consider this to be the meaning of the scripture, it becomes contradictory from top to bottom. Secondly, there are two points to refute the idea of dedicating the realm other than Dharmadhatu as merit: establishing the nature of the Tathagatagarbha and combining it with the essentials of the scripture. The first point has four aspects: how it is explained in the scriptures and treatises, identifying the nature of the Tathagatagarbha itself, combining it with the order of philosophical schools, and analyzing the intention of the great self. First, in general, from the scriptures of the Sugatas, the realm of sentient beings, the realm of Buddhas, the lineage of Buddhas, the Tathagatagarbha, the naturally abiding lineage, etc., these are all different names. In some cases, it is also said that there is no difference between the Dharmadhatu of sentient beings and the Dharmadhatu of Buddhas. As it says in the Sutra: Shariputra, the so-called realm of sentient beings is another expression for the Tathagatagarbha. Shariputra, the so-called Tathagata is another expression for the Dharmakaya. It also says: Shariputra, therefore, the realm of sentient beings is not other, and the Dharmakaya is not other, the realm of sentient beings is the Dharmakaya, and the Dharmakaya is the realm of sentient beings, this is non-dual in meaning, only the words are different. Maitreya Bodhisattva said: Suchness is in all things, although there is no difference, it is already pure, because the Tathagata is that, all beings have that essence. It is also said that Dharmadhatu is suchness. As it says in the Prajnaparamita Sutra: Like there are no bird tracks in the sky, invisible. Similarly, the words of the Bodhisattva have no meaning, invisible. The Sutra says this, Maitreya Bodhisattva said: Becoming the basis of practice, the nature of Dharmadhatu. Nagarjuna Bodhisattva also said: Because of not knowing everything, wandering in the three existences, for sentient beings
