Those who have not cultivated, this is the teaching of the Buddha, and also what the Sangha teaches. So it is said. Furthermore, in the purification of the mind's obscurations, it says: How does copper touched by mercury transform into flawless gold? Likewise, the wisdom of correct view, through cultivation, can exhaust afflictions. So it is said. The second has five parts: how it is explained in the scriptures, explaining its intention, establishing it through examples, it would be too extreme to understand it otherwise, and incidentally refuting other inherent virtues. The first is: from the Abhidharma texts, etc., there are nine. From the Compendium of Topics (Abhidharmasamuccaya): What is the virtue of intrinsic nature? It is the eleven mental factors such as faith. So it says. What is the ultimate virtue? It is suchness. So it says. What is the ultimate non-virtue? It is all of samsara. So it says. What is not taught in the ultimate sense? It is space and cessation that is not analytical. So it is said. Here, the Compendium of Topics is made into a Hearer's text, as it is said in the Ornament of Realization Tree: It is said to be a proponent of the Sautrantika school, so it is considered, but it should not be confused with the Treasury (Abhidharmakosa), because the term eleven virtues is not mentioned there, and the virtue of intrinsic nature is said to be the three roots of virtue, and the two of conscientiousness and shame. The second is: in suchness, etc., there are thirteen. In the Compendium of Topics: It is easy to understand that suchness is explained as being named as virtue, which is imputed. The third is: furthermore, etc., there are nine. In the Compendium: After being full of food, one temporarily holds that it is not suitable for food, and by relying on it, one is separated from desire, and after engaging in sexual intercourse, one temporarily holds that it is not suitable, and by harming, one is separated from desire, etc., although it is said, those who are not characterized by separation from desire are the same as the dharmadhatu, etc. The fourth is: why, etc., there are seven. The fifth is: some, love, etc., there are seven. Some Kadampas say that love and compassion are also inherent virtues without relying on skillful means. However, it is not so certain, in the Wise and Foolish Sutra, the provider offered many precious things as conducive conditions for the Sangha's summer retreat, benefiting his relatives and those who are like-minded.

By giving with a mind of attachment, Zaltawa became a sentient being in hell like a tree. The others became woodworms, eating the trees, and all were said to be burned by the fires of hell. The third part has three points: a brief explanation of the way of explaining, refuting the ways of explaining of others, and how one explains oneself. The first point: Since the Dharmadhatu has been proven to be immutable through dedication, "sentient beings" etc. is one verse. The second part has two points: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. The first point: the meaning of "If it is not so, all the merits of all beings," if the Dharmadhatu is... etc., there are three sentences in total. The second part has three points: the unreasonable refutation of the word "all," the unreasonable refutation of the word "exists," and the unreasonable refutation of the word "all beings." The first point is "the reason for this" etc. one verse, because the root of good to be dedicated does not apply to the word "all," because the word "all" means many, and the Dharmadhatu has no distinction of many or few, because it is free from the elaboration of many or few. The second point is "the existence of the Dharmadhatu is also" etc. eight verses, the nature of the Dharmadhatu itself does not exist either, because Dharmakīrti said that merely existing in itself is pervaded by impermanence. In the Pramāṇavārttika it says: "Destruction is like a result and existence." and "Destruction is only related to existence, for this reason, sound is impermanent." In the four quotations from the Root Wisdom Treatise, the first is: Considering existence and things to be the same, therefore, it is pervaded by conditioned phenomena, so the Dharmadhatu is not existent. In general, for existence, there are two ways to determine existence: "existence by excluding others," which determines existence by excluding other phenomena, and "self-existence," which exists without relying on excluding other phenomena. The latter is pervaded by impermanence, which is also accepted by the Sautrāntikas. In the Compendium of Knowledge, when explaining the tenets of the Sautrāntikas, it says: "The sky is like a woman's vulva." and in its commentary it says: "It shows the imputed existence of the unconditioned, imputed existence is merely a name." The latter three quotations are: No matter which of the four extremes, existence, non-existence, etc., the Dharmadhatu is taken to be, it will only lead to the elaboration of clinging.
